I know you can get exercise with DDR, and there are some specialized controllers which work with various exercise equipment. However, is there a video game/exerciser that's actually worth working out on? I get so bored riding my airdyne and I use my arms to pump that while riding so I can't play.
Any ideas?

I have actually spent quite a bit of time thinking about this one. I've thought up all kinds of things from a treadmill attachment with a joystick on it to some even weirder stuff. The simplest I've probably found is using a recumbent bike and just gaming regularly... unfortunately, I don't think there really are a ton of ways to do this.
All I can think of is the LifeCycle. There are two pics at my site.

The links don't work, and the LifeCycle is quite hard to get...

There are plenty of foot workouts between the power pad and DDR (and its Japanese sister Aerobics Revolution) but the only home game arm workouts I can think of are Drummania and Para Para Paradise. And PPP isn't that much of a workout.

Dude, the power pad gets really boring after about 5 minutes.

The 16-bit era had the Batter Up! and Tee-V Golf controller, both good for some mild exercise. Both of them worked best when you played the game in a practice mode, like home run derby or driving range.
How hard would it be to rig a regular exercise bike up to a game like Decathlon or Track & Field where your revolutions each equal a single click in either direction of the stick (or taps on the T&F controller)?
Where's superstonic, master of hardware modifications, when you need him?
