This problem's been getting to me for a LONG time now. With the exception of their early titles like Gunbird and Strikers 1945, all Psikyo games are incredibly choppy at times. Worse, the controls spaz out half of the time. For example, in Gunbird 2, I press down-left, Alucard flies in the corner, and he's just hanging there for about ten seconds, and during that time, he is dishonorably blasted out of the sky. Does anyone know of any way at all to help with the problems that Psikyo's high-powered games bring on MAME?

Hmm. What are your PC specs?

Umm... they're... good? x_x

UGH. Sorry, but I'm a technological retard. What would my "specs" be? :embarrassed:

What OS, how much memory, cpu speed, video card... those are the ones likely to affect MAME.

Can't help with the framerate issues, but try calibrating your controllers in Windows. Might help with the control issues. I have the same problem occasionaly as well.

As stated above...memory, video card..etc. For example, I have a 32MB Riva TNT video card running on my PIII 1Gz system. I rarely get any slowdown in shooters in Mame, but if I try to play any 3D PC game (like GTA3) it craws to the pojnt of unplayability. Guess this is one of the main reasons why my PC is only used for emulation based game playing :)
