I'm not looking for advice here as much as I'm just venting.

I bought the Upright Citizen's Brigade DVD boxset in an auction on November 15th. The seller has 1700+ feedback and 99.3% positive.

On December 1st, I e-mailed the seller as I hadn't heard back from him and I didn't have the DVDs. No response.

On December 4th I e-mailed the seller a second time. This time the seller responded and said that he was very busy because his girlfriend just had a baby, but that my DVDs had been shipped and should be there "late this week" (which would be the 5th or 6th) or "early next week" (which would be the 8th or 9th).

Here I am, on the 9th, with no DVDs.

30 days would be next Monday. I hate to spring a paypal complaint on him with no warning (I've never filed one before, but I understand it has to be done within 30 days), so I guess I'm going to e-mail the guy one more time and if he can't show me a shipping receipt I'll have to take some action. I have 108 feedback with 0 neutral/0 negative and I'm sure he'll hit me with a negative even though I paid for his auction within a day of it closing.

Sometimes I hate eBay.

Does anyone know if you can put a URL in an eBay feedback, or do they edit them out? When this guy hits me with the inevidable negative feedback, I thought about explaining the whole thing on a website.

If you paid with a Credit Card through PayPal, just call up your CC Company and explain the whole situation to them telling them to put a hold on the charge.

Busy, hey? LOL I say fuck that shit! Guy wasn't too busy to take your money, but now he's too busy to respond to an email in a timely manner. I'm busy 24/7, even when I'm sleeping I'm busy doing something... but I'm not that much of a dick to screw around with other peoples' hard earned money. I guarantee you that he is just lazy or forgot to mail your stuff out, and that's why it's now going to be at the "end of the week", instead of two weeks ago.

If you're mad enough, just leave him a negative. Who cares? I leave people negatives when I get mad enough, irregardless of whether they have left me feedback yet or not. I still have flawless feedback.

If you are worried about negatives, wait until the 89th day, then give him a negative. Then on the 90th he cant leave feedback.
Im not sure if you can leave URLs in feedback though...

Waiting until the 89th day to post negative feedback won't protect him from retaliatory feedback because he says that he has to file a Paypal complaint within 30 days. He'll probably get his negative as soon as the seller realizes that he's filing a Paypal chargeback.

BTW, is it correct that you can only file a Paypal complaint within 30 days? That doesn't sound like a very long time. International shipments can legitimately take longer than that to arrive.

I didnt know this was international. If he shipped it on the 4th, 5 days isnt enough to get worried about yet. Wait a few more days and email him telling him you filed a Paypal complaint because you had to within 30 days and that if it arrives shortly you will cancel the claim. Ive got some items coming from the UK that should have been shipped around Dec 1st and Im starting to get paranoid. It may be a little slow because of the glut of holiday mail.

This is not an international item. The seller is in Illinois, I am in Oklahoma. I could have walked there and picked it up by now.

I e-mailed the seller and told him I was considering using PayPal's Buyer Protection program, and he told me he would either ship me another DVD, refund my money, or I could go through with the BPP. It really does seem like this guy is on the level, I'll give it a few more days and then I guess either have him PayPal me back the cash or something.
