The Grail. How come the high price super rare items are never sold by people with lots of feedback. Bleh.

First gold one thats been on ebay in a loooong time. I bet if the seller had higher feedback, the game would have went higher.

The seller ended this listing early because of an error in the minimum bid or Reserve amount.
I suspect a deal behind the scenes was struck.

well there is a small sticker on it, but the reflection is from the plastic around the sticker :D
That picture is from a NWC cart sold a while back. Compare to this one:

I feel a scam here. A BIG scam.

I can't seem to connect to that pic TRM, but I suspected it was probably ripped off of somewhere else when the seller refuses to post or take more images of the cartridge.
If you wanted more money, wouldn't someone be bending over backwards to take more images to sell it at a higher price?

1. identically the same picture
2. paypal only auction
3. resides in Canada (so no paypal protection)
4. email address is a hotmail account
I'd say that is fishy to say the least. I bet they scammed someone with an outragious offer and closed early (hence no ebay protection either).

That is the other auction from this seller. If it was a scam, I doubt the buyer of that auction would have left good feedback for sure.

A couple problems with that buyer though:
1. also is a low FB ebayer (could easily be a shell account)
2. High priced auction with NO PICS (I'm not shelling out $1500 for anything I cant see)
3. Buyer of that auction is also from Canada
If you really want to sell something this rare, you'll take your own pics, IMHO and considering they used a different one would make me very suspicious.

Stop the slurs to Canadians eh?
Not intended to be a slur towards Canadians, its just with paypal, people in the US have no protection against fraud by Canadian buyers or sellers. I am hoping you were joking anyways. :)

Yeah, stop being such hosers, eh. :D
I sell a fair bit on eBay and on one occassion a video I sold did not arrive at its destination in the States. Even though I said I would send out a replacement, she filed a complaint (or whatever Paypal calls it) and I had to resolve according to Paypals limited terms. I had to:
1) Send an immediate refund
2) Provide proof of shipping.
3) Provide proof of that a refund has already been sent.
I refunded the money because you don't get a tracking # for something mailed to the US unless you want to triple the shipping fees. She did get the second video and did submit payment again.
There does seem to be a measure of protection for US bidders buying from Canadian sellers.

I had a guy steal part of my auction's text once...I only noticed it as I was scanning the competition. Game Boy Cameras, if you must know. I e-mailed him and told him how displeased I was, after which he apologized and said he just got lazy. GRRR...
Speaking of which, I have one last red GB Camera (not on eBay yet) complete in box if anyone's interested... :D

I send an email to that person.
"hmmm... weird... hmmm.... http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dllViewItem&item=3064140845&category=3608 Thats your auction? look at this-http://64.53.95.207/nwc90/nwc90gold.jpg I smell a scam. Your from canada right? That means no paypal restriction things. And you wont take more pics. YOu can't because you don't have your own because you stole it off that site. Nice job on scamming some really happy person that thought they had a good deal. The 1 feedback rating makes it more suspicious. Your pathetic."

How are you not protected from canadians if you can use your credit card to pay for the item??
you can always revese the charges.. at which point it up to the seller to prove the item really was sent, or else the seller is out of $$$ and out of item.
It happened to me. A buyer purchased a system from me for 95$US and then reversed the charges. Luckly, I sent it with delivery confirmation. I emailed paypal the link to Canada post along with the a GIF of the signature verification of the buyer.. the money was put right away in my account.
It works both aways.
As far as protection from canadians.. hmmm.. I can now do with paypal in Canada everything an american can. Don't see why you're not protected, considering paypal has local branches here in Canada.
As far as that seller.. I would never spend that kind of $$$ on a seller with such little feedback. Not unless they're local to me and allow local pickup.

"I bought this cartridge while on vacation in Cooperstown, New York in 1993 as part of a auction at a flea market for over 75 games"
Yeah, right...
So, it's a brand-new seller with THE rarest/most valuable officially released videogame [bar Euro Kizuna] and (2 sets of) THE rarest/most valuable officially released Magic: the Gathering cards? And no pics of their own?
And, the positive feedback for the completed auction (M:TG card) comes from a buyer, also in Canada, who hasn't bought anything else since April.
LOL LOL Anyone bidding needs psychiatric attention, I swear...
My personal opinion - the buyer who left positive feedback (arcane hunter) was this seller (katie_bear_0803)'s old ID, before they decided to shark people out of a lot of money. Merry fuckin' Christmas.
