Hello fellow gamers!
Ive been hangin around here for a week or so, taking in all that is here!
Ive just recently started "collecting" but have been into gaming pretty much since I was young. I sold off all my coleco, NES and SNES collections years ago and now am trying to get them back. This is a great hobby and Im glad to have found this site! I wont write a novel, but just wanted to say hi.
My collection so far includes:
Intellivision with 36 games
Genensis with 5 games
SNES with 30ish games
Dreamcast with 6 games
Xbox with 23 games
Halleys Comet arcade machine
MAME arcade machine I built
So a decent start, but OMG some of you guys ARE GODS!

You're hanging tight around where I am, bud. Don't let the size of their "collections" intimidate ya! ;) You can click the WWW link below this message to view my collection, and, if you haven't done so already, be sure to introduce yourself in the sticky thread up top!

You've got more Intv, SNES and Xbox games than me--and I like all those systems (just too lazy to collect Intv or SNES and too poor for Xbox)!

Welcome to the forums!
That's a great collection. It's not the size that matters, as my wife often tells me. I wonder why she says that when I've got so many games? It MUST mean that she wishes it were LARGER! Or perhaps WIDER!
So anyway, welcome! And please introduce yourself in the "introduce yourself" thread and check out the FAQ when you have a moment.
Game ON.

Nah, that's a great start... I didn't have anywhere near that much when I first started getting into AtariAge (I think all I had was my Jaguar (which I had since they were new), and a handful of 2600 and ColecoVision games). Those two arcade machines sound awesome. I've always wanted an arcade or two, but lack of funds and room hold me back.

Welcome. Don't worry about collection size. Everybody's got to start (or stop) somewhere.
It's always good to hear from someone who built their own MAME cab (as I did). Do you have any online pics of it? Links would be great.

WOw, thanks for all the compliments!
I wish I could post a pic or two of my mame cab but I dont have a place to host the pics. The Intelly games I got only a few months ago for like $2 a game and $30 for the system including 10 games, couldnt pass that up! And for my xbox games, Ive only boughten 2-3 brand new, the rest have been used but in great shape.
Its getting so hard to find games that used to be EVERYWHERE!
Missed out on LOTS in the past 10 years when I wasnt interested in collecting, so maddening that those used to be easy to find games, are now going for crazy $$$$$. Damn.
And lol! When I was searching thru some of the game rooms on here,I showed my girlfriend a pic of DPs collection and she goes "OMG, is that what I have to look forward to?" HAHAHHAHA Thats right baby!
