Looking at HAPP's website, this is about the same price or a little cheaper than going through HAPP directly, anything I should be aware of?

The only thing I can think of is that they come as-is, and if you plan to resell them, you'd better test them first.

If you're not picky about having colored buttons, Xarcade sells the same deal, 2 sticks, 16 buttons for $20. At least they used to. Though some people will cry if it's not Happs, the Xarcade stuff is excellent quality and it boils down to do you want to pay more for the name or do you really want the different colored fire buttons.

Not bad at all. HAPP stuff is very nice. I have a shitload of those lying around back home from my old arcade, but I can't get to them right now or I'd give you the hookup! :D Have 36 boxes of assorted arcade machine parts! *sigh*

I'd do it. I just bought a similar set of Mortal Kombat-style Happ controls off of Ebay for $45 and they work great. Just so long as the seller doesn't try anf gouge you on the shipping I'd take the Buy It Now price.

He's got 100% feedback, and only charging $7.00 shipping by UPS, so most likely, I will be buying from him....

Of course, that is - Once I GET my arcade game and see how the controls are, etc... ;)

Another place you can buy parts cheaper than at Happs directly is:

http://www.therealbobroberts.com/

He's got ultimate 8ways on sale for $7.00 and buttons for $1.45 ea.
So you might save a few bucks with Bob.

Also, a lot of people seem to prefer the Happ "Supers" over the "ultimates".
I really don't know, I use Supers or the old Wico leaf sticks.
And have never tried the ultimates.

There's some reviews and opinions here though:

I can't STAND leaaf sticks/buttons. I like a nice click when I move it :) Kinda re-assuring or something, I dunno.

Also, Not to start a 2-sided debate, but I prefer to stick with HAPP as well. It's not like I plan on buying that many controllers/buttons for the ONE arcade cabinet I'm going to own, I might as well do it right the first time right?

I WILL be taking a look at those websites though, thanx :)

This is definitely worth noting. Although, I'm in the same boat as xertcev, having never actually had my hands on an ultimate.

But, as for the overall package, it's still an okay deal in my book. Personally, I've got to have the colored buttons. Speaking of which, different colors often go on sale from time to time on the Happ's website. That may be where this guy is coming from.

Bob Roberts is essential. If you're buying a cab, you need to bookmark that site.
