Back when I was in computer science, I was going to get a tattoo saying "the world is square" with square spelled out like the logo. Thought it might give me an edge at landing a job there. I still have an idea for a video game related tattoo, but it's not nearly as obvious as that.

The general rules I've heard from people who have tatoos are
1. If you want it, wait five years. If you still think it's cool, get it.
2. Pick something with personal significance. and
3. Make it somewhere you can cover up. I think the black mage is cool, the guy interviewing you for a job may not.

I saw a guy at ComicCon with the Cowboy Bebop logo on his upper arm. So cooool. :)

I've been wanting my new idea (not the world is square one) for about 3 years. It would be on my left shoulder, so easy to cover up for any sort of business. Still haven't decided if I want it for sure though. And, I want to tone my muscles up a bit first. I've fallen out of shape this year thanks to my shitty class scheduke. Never had any time to go to the gym.

I've kicked around getting the Fuji logo myself, but if I did, it would just be the stripes, and not the word "Atari" underneath. Makes it look more iconic that way, IMHO.

Then again, maybe my current tattoo (http://www.egodeath.com/images/star-s.jpg) is geeky enough.

I think it would be really damned cool to get the Dragon Force logo tattooed on the back of your hand. Unfortunately, I'm too much of a chicken shit to actually go through with it.

Also, the Triforce by its lonesone would make a good tattoo just about anywhere. How can you go wrong with a symbol that displays power, wisdom, and courage? :)

I'm ready to get a tattoo, my problem is I just can't decide on what to get. This is a permanant decision! @_@ I was going to go with the spawn symbol, but over the last two or three years, I've fallen away from reading his books and now I'm pretty sure I don't want it. My wife wants me to get the Fighting Hellfish tattoo (bonus points if you know where this is from), but I'm not too crazy about that idea. Recently I've really been focused on getting the thundercats symbol, but I want to give the idea a little time before I commit to it. And now I see the hitman logo. That one is bad ass. Maybe I should get two?

My mom just got teh chinese chaos symbol on her upper leg. Its pretty cool looking, but not many people have seen it.
The day I turn 18, or if I stop growing when im liek 16/17 im getting an atari 2600 joystick. I have devoted so much time, money, and effort into video games I wouldn't mind it permantly being a part of me. :)

At quakecon I noticed something new. whole Clans with clan tats.. Like "[HaSH]Stonekilla" with a Quake 3 logo. And they all had the same tattoo, just with their handle.

I have had both of mine over 10 years now and have contimplated getting 1 or 2 more for quite some time. I have a Shark with a freddy kruger sweater and dixie cup hat (Navy round hat thanx) on my right bicep. I have a classic female on my left bicep (drew this one on my 1st navy deployment).
Both fall into the above rules: both signify my time in the Nav and both are easily hidden with a t-shirt. Hell, my in laws didnt know I had tats until we went swimming at their house (I had been married for over 5 years and had both tats prior to meeting the Mrs).

The next one will go center shoulderblade area, up to almost the t shirt neck line. I was thinking of an Ankh (sp?) superimposed on a Native American sun symbol, done totally in black, the Ankh would be left flesh with some black in there for character. My job gives me access to several great artists so this one can be drawn up in no time flat. The Mrs isnt too thrilled about it, so that's the real stumbling block. This one falls into the 5 year rule, as I have considered it for well over 5 years. I think it'll look too badass!

II've been toying around with the idea of getting a black atari logo on the back of my neck with the game genie code for infinite life for Zelda Link's Awakening (FA0 - 999 - 4C1) under the logo written in the original Game Genie font. it the only code i really remember and ifrom my child hood and link's awakening is my favorite gameboy game. i have to wait till i turn 18 which is in late april before i make he final decision though

Aye, that it is. I've had someone argue with me that they had the idea first. I tried to tell him as soon as I saw it on the packaging, I had to have it. I guess all that matters is that I've got it and he doesn't, right?

I've been thinking of getting some Zelda hearts above my left breast, but it's too arbitrary for now, I'm working on my upper arms and another thought is to get a little black bat (similar in size & complimentary to the spider) on my left arm with a Heartless logo. Unfortunately, it appears similar to the Alkaline Trio logo so I've been told, so I'll need to think just a tad longer....
