Finally a good score... so I'm hanging out with my Funco friends around noon, and in walks a trade-in guy with a bag of complete SNES games. Time to thank Gamestop's cheapness, bc he was going to get $23 for these, and my friend nabbed 5 for 10, and I grabbed 9 for 20...

For $10US: (What he got, complete)
Tecmo's Secret of the Stars
Actraiser 2
Ultima: False Prophet
Ultima: Black Gate
Ultima: Runes II

For $20US (What I got, complete):
Chrono Trigger
Secret of Evermore
Brainlord
Lost Vikings
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest
Kablooey
Illusion of Gaia
Lagoon
Prince of Persia

So I'm happy.

Found just an hour ago:

$39.99 - Boxed NES (old style box, guy at the counter opened it for me and found a game inside, Disney something, but he left it in there :D) with the following inside it:

Excellent NES deck with very few scuffs anywhere - a couple barely noticeable ones on the shiny black plastic parts, and a few on all the labels underneath. All the red lettering on the console is completely intact, and the expansion port cover was still in place (probably the first person to move it, as the snap-off piece underneath was still there).

Two controllers, didn't take a good look at them yet. One official Nintendo power supply in mint condition, one apparently unused Nintendo RF adapter, and *three* mono A/V cords, two apparently original NES style.

$2 each - I also picked up a few Genesis games, mostly loose, including a "Not for Resale" Sonic 2 cartridge (I erroneously read it at first as "not for sale" but in any case I didn't mind as it was only $2).

I also saw a bunch of Genesis sports titles with a yellow tab on the left side. I didn't buy any of them, but what's up with that tab?

picked up a sealed copy of Mojo for the PS2 for $8.14, but since my fiancee bought it with her money it's a XMas gift now. Oh well :D

Picked up some decent stuff this week...

Strategy guides:
Castlevania SOTN (Prima version) $2
Final Fantasy Tactics $3
Valkyrie Profile $3

NES deck with controller, zapper, rf, and Zelda gold cart for $3.81 at Goodwill

got Gradius III & IV for PS2 in a trade

It really wasn't a good deal, but I bought Ogre Battle: Limited Edition for PS1 at a local game shop for $40. I was originally going to pass on it, but broke down after taking a closer look at it...manual, map, memory card stickers included, no scratches on disc. Everything was totally perfect, so I HAD to buy it.

And as a follow-up to my "finds" post from last week, I ended up selling that King's Quest Collection (that I bought for $5 at a pawn) for $152 on ebay! Hot damn!!!

I'm guessing they were EA games -- and I have never figured out what the deal is with the yellow tab. I've pulled it off one of my carts (and put it back on), but it doesn't seem to reveal anything or have any purpose other than to display the old-style EA logo.

Cool deal on the NES, too. :)

On Wednesday I grabbed Rampage for SMS (complete and in excellent shape) for $10 at my local game hangout. And over in the eBay forum, you'll see my extreme happiness about getting both SMS Miracle Warriors (complete with map) and Kenseiden for around $25 total.

The game store also had Altered Beast, Spider-Man and California Games at that point -- I might yet head back and pick those up if they're still around.

Yeah, send it to me! :D Seriously though, maybe the element is bad or there's a crack somewhere and the neon has leaked out. Both possibilities.
