I have some goals for next year, some may be unorthodox....

1) get all of the "Games I want" for the Neo-MVS and Neo-pocket out of the way. Getting that damn CFC2-expand is gonig to be a real bitch, last copy I saw went for $303 on eBay :(

2) Get a Japanese Duo, and a Vectrex. I really want both.

3) SELL ALL THE DAMN EXTRA SYSTEMS I HAVE! I'm getting a Coleco expansion in trade sometime before february so I don't need the 4 2600s and the Coleco Gemini now do I? Or that Sears Super Video Arcade since I'm not a INTV fan.

4) Get a house, so I can have a single room of doom. Wizard needs space badly.

EDIT: 5) Either get a RGB monitor/RCA 5.1 sound system setup, or an actual Big Red 4-slot cab for my MVS habit. standard AV with mono sound doesn't cut it there Jonathan.

8) Buy and beat the crap out of Adventure II when Cafeman and Racoon Lad finish it!
Cheers,
Ben

It WILL be 2004 Ben!

I had hoped to be done by the Philly Classic, but (alas) Adventure II will not be finished before then (end of March). But it's getting closer! Maybe we'll release it at CGE 2004..... or earlier. Expect a new demo in the not too distant future which will hopefully be all and more that you expect!

Alan D. contributes a kick-ass compression routine that allows us to have one heck of a LOT of screens.
Raccoon Lad contributes his awesome art and design ideas.
Dave G. contributes his amazing label art.
Myself, I hope to contribute a kick-ass engine that will make people wonder just what the 5200 could have been..... and I'm still tweaking that. ;)

I don't like making resolutions or anything like that, since I often just play it by ear... but I really hope to have started a NeoGeo collection by the end of the year, preferably AES. Even if only have Baseball Stars and NAM 1975 by then, I'll still be happy.

Assuming I have a source of money that allows me to start a NeoGeo collection, I might as well add a TurboGrafx-16 and Virtual Boy to the list too... once I have these three systems, I'll have just about all the consoles I want, and I can focus on just getting games.

Well aftermuch consideration and thought:

-Stop Collecting. No, it's not a bad thing it's just that my gaming tastes have changed. I'm more interested in the history and such behind the industry and I really don't play what I have collected. So stay tuned to Buying and Selling as I'll be putting up a sizable 3DO auction, a SNES Model 2 auction and possibly more. I AM keeping my NES as it means a lot along with my Atari VCS and of course the modern stuff (the Animal Crossing Cube, Xbox and Game Boy Advance). I still may continue to snag classic magazines though as those are always a fun read. And they don't take up as much room.

-Be a better shopper. I was one who sees a game that may look good for cheap and then buys it but doesn't get into it. Money down the drain as I can't get back what I paid for it. So I've been trying to rent more often before I plunk down my hard earned cash to buy the full product and it's helped.

-Play more, surf less. Broadband can be an evil thing. When I want to do something on the PC at home I get sucked into web surfing and hours can be swallowed up instantly. I'd like to shift that to playing my games more and when I'm not in the mood to play do something productive on my PC.

-Stop himhawing about XBL and just PLAY. It's a strange roller coaster that makes my wife giggle. I talk about going onto XBL then I say it's not worth it. Then I say I'm gonna try it then I don't. Now I have a two month trial and about 40 feet of Cat 5 cable and I'm gonna do this.

-Create my CoCo game site. It's a dying state: Color Computer sites are slowing falling into obscurity. The big mothership site for the CoCo is dead and what's out there hasn't been updated in a loooonng time. I've got roughly 15 or 20 Rainbow magazines and about the same amount of Hot CoCos that are itchin' to be scanned and archived. Even though it may not be the most popular computer in history it was still a pretty cool workhorse with a pretty strong past following.
