I am so pissed I didn't pre-order that from NCSX when I had the chance!

On the other hand, the buys this thread is about rule. Good show!

I don't think I could have stayed silent during the auction. Even after I won them. That is the best find I have seen. Maybe find of the year? Congrats that is one hell of a deal.

The space invaders unit actually went to our own NE146 earlier in the month. Feel free to dig around the site, I've got plenty of game related pictures. many of the things pictured I plan on eventually putting up for trade...

Sweet, sweet finds. I would be interested in that M-82. What is that NES display with R.O.B. on it? IS that something used in stores "(back in the day)?

The SI table top I believe can be purchased from NCSX for abtou 65 dollars plus 30 shipping. Basically, it's what you see. The PS2 game, with a miniature cocktail cabinet. You put the PS2 controller inside the cabinet, and the buttons on the outside manipulate the controller buttons. it's quite ingenious, really.

Yep, that's what it is. I posted the link when they first put it for sale on their site. I don't think they have anymore tho'.

Curious..Is the NES on the display a working unit or an emply unit....
The NES unit, (the M-14) as far as I know, is a working unit. I don't want to make any permanent changes to the unit (the zip tie is original; interesting because the two crossed 'trenches' on the bottom of the system coincide with the holes in the display unit for the zip ties to 'fit' into), so I don't know if it works, but if it does, you can pretty safely say that no NES game has ever been used in it :D

The Super Mario game, however, is completely empty. There's no board inside, but the label is definitely a prototype label. You'll notice in one of the pics (from the link that has more pictures) that the label has no copyright information, or even a model number on it. I really dig that fact. This is an item I will probably hold on to until the next CGE; then I will offer it as a museum item, if the organizers are interested in having it.

Three questions:

1) How much did you pay for each item?

2) Does that SNES moniter have anything special about it other than the SNES logo?

3) Does the M-82 have a gun?

1. I guess you could say I paid "collector" prices for each. The M-82 went for almost twice what I've seen them go for in the past, mainly since it ws brand spanking new (It even includes the original 'instruction' sheet). The other two items were more what you'd consider 'average' prices (but all three were brand new; all three are in their original packaging, with designation and product information printed on the outside box, and with the original peanuts/foam inserts).

2. The SNES monitor is unique in that there were SNES displays to go along with it, so it is a legitimate display piece. I still don't know what the monitor's capabilities are

3. The M-82 does have a gun, and it's attached along with the two controllers. The only piece missing (as far as I can tell) is the metal L-shaped piece of flat metal that attaches to the side of the M-82 to act as a holster, and I know of that piece only because it is referenced in the 'manual'.

You would still need a Japanese system or a modded system to play it right?

And it is still in stock... http://www.ncsxshop.com/cgi-bin/shop/TCPS-10074.html

That's nothing to really be embarrassed about. Sure, it wasn't a small amount of money, but I could totally see spending that on two (*coughsnesmonitorcough*) of those things. And factory new? Niiiice.
