. . . that I've been after for ages!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1366956069

And after I sell Bare Knuckle 3, Phantasy Star IV and a few of the others that I already have then I will have pretty much covered my costs, and thus will have got Yu Yu Hakushu essentially for free :D

Excuse me whilst I celebrate all evening, hehe.

Great deal! You won't be disappointed with YYH- it's a fighting game in the SF2 vein.

Namco released this game also for the Super Famicom. As well as YYH2 I've been playing YYH2 with my Multi Game Hunter on my SNES and it's a pretty cool fighter. You get to change up fighters, with every battle won. Don't have to, but it gives you that opition with every new fight. I only wish I could read Japanese. Then I might have a better understanding of whats going on. I haven't had a chance yet to try out the original though.

So Treasure released the Mega Drive version? Is there a YuYu Hakusho 2 for the Mega Drive or Saturn maybe?

"This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is my own."

Similarly,

"This is my copy of Yu Yu Hakusho. There are many like it, but only the Mega Drive version is programmed by Treasure."

I too, once collected all the games made by the talented programming team Treasure, including the Ronald McDonald game and the games they worked on while still at Konami. Recently, the trash called Stretch Panic left such a bad taste in my mouth that I swore off collecting games just because they were programmed by Treasure. It was that bad. Having gotten that off my chest, let me enlighten other Treasure Hunters out there with what I know about Yu Yu Hakusho:

Yu Yu is an incredible game. Boot up Kalliera and you'll see some folks playing it on Gens along with the latest Street Fighter or KoF. The graphics are almost Super NES quality, and the gameplay is Street Fighter-like, with some Fatal Fury elements thrown in. It's almost flawless, and well worth the cash it fetches on eBay.

Yu Yu Hakusho seems to be a franchise based on a Japanese cartoon, like Fist of the North Star. Which is why there are a lot of Yu Yu games for various systems, made by different companies. Treasure got the lisense for the Mega Drive fighting game, however, and the other games are mande by Namco, Bandai, etc. The SFC Namco game isn't bad: it's really original. Kind of like a Pokemon Stadium fighting game, with 2D graphics.

I have to say I do like ALL the Megadrive games by Treasure. The McDonalds game is easily the worst, but it is still ok! All the others are simply brilliant. I didn't think I would ever get my hands on Yu Yu though, because it usually goes for ridiculous sums. I have seen it go for $100 - $150 before....

I have played the emulated version on the Dreamcast, and that was pretty good, but lacking in one very important respect . . . it did not support the multiplayer option... it's the only fighting game I know of on the Megadrive with 4 player support. However our quick bout on the emulator has earned it the nickname "the Flying Dildo Attack game" among my friends due to the peculiar and somewhat phallic special move of one of the characters . . .

Well, all I need now is to get a decent copy of Alien Soldier to replece my somewhat beaten up one (due to the not so tender care of its previous owner... idiot!)

YYH's is about a kid who was killed by accident and revived and became a spirit detective for the Other World.

There's actually 4 snes game soff the anime. the 2nd and 3rd are fighting games, the 1st and 4th are cinematic fighters.

Didn't know there was one before. Although they are starting to just remake them. All I need to do is find this one. It's not like money is a problem for me. Would you be willing to sell it? Say a couple thousand? Eh, I'll leave ya be.

Sounds like Bleach (which was good for a few eps but I don't like it now)... Didn't know that one, thought it would be a regular kung fu club high school sort of thing.

I have a feeling vroomfunkel sold this game anyway, when he did the big clear out.

Just out of curiosity though, whats the going price for YYH these days (2005 *cough*)?

I absolutely love games that I have from Treasure, with guardian hero's and gunstar hero's (and I have a trade pending with Radiant silvergun), I decided that I wanted to collect all of Treasure's games,

but,

I can't seem to find a list or website that is in english, to help me to decide what to buy next :D

actually I'm going to buy Sin and punishment next, then maybe ikaruga...

any-how, can anyone point me in the right direction for Treasure's goodies 8-)
