Hey All

I found a Famicom last week, $2 and I'm scared whether or not it's a 100V Version, and since the Power is 240/250V Here, I don't want the unit to explode on me. How do I find out whether it can take a 240V Power Supply?

I've actually had that happen with a pirate one. I plugged it in and it caught fire from the overload. There's nothing that says the voltage? Anywhere?

HAHAHAHAHA. Sorry, that just sounded funny to me. Now, I may be mistaken, but didn't they have NESes in Europe (Or wherever you are)? I'm pretty sure that a Famicom takes 110v because they only had them in Japan... but I may be wrong. Whatever you do, DON'T put an NES AC adapter in it. I killed what may have been a working one that way (I don't know if it ever did work; it just got REALLY hot and neverdid anything on my TV). It is a pretty showpiece though.

Yeah, they have NESes here, fairly common. Everythings in Japanese, all labels, etc. I don't think I'll risk it, I'll just clean it up and leave it on the bookcase in my gaming room :)
