Resident Evil...the first of a long-running series that gave gamers a new term, "survival horror". See the blood...run from the killer dogs...dig the awful dialogue and voice-acting!

Ape Escape for the original Playstation. In this game, you must go after and capture a large number of intelligent monkeys that are on the loose. This game marked the first time that you had to use both sticks on an analog controller...the left stick controlled your character while the right stick controlled the various gadgets you used...for instance you'd use the left stick to run at a monkey and the right stick might have you swinging a special net to snare the simian.

1 point for me (common letter A) for a total now of 24 now.

Battle Bakraid: my favorite vertical shooter of all time. You need to try it! If you were in the MAME club a few weeks ago, you know how good it is!

Daraku Tenshi: Also known as The Fallen Angels, a sadly unknown fighting game that plays like a dream and has some of the greatest graphics ever in a 2-D fighter.

Don't know how many points I have now... I'm too tired to do any math right now. -_-

Elevator Action -- a very fun arcade game ported to the NES (and maybe other systems) where you are a spy going up and down a building, shooting enemies and gathering items.

Ishido: Way of the Stones.

Ishido is a solitaire board game played with tiles (like Shanghai). The objective is to place all of the tiles onto the board and obtain the highest possible score by following specific rules of play. It is a solitaire game. There are ways to play that can dramatically increase the score, which makes the game very strategic in nature. Additionally, when desired, the player can get an oracle reading by asking a question...the question is answered when the player makes a very elegant play (4 way match).

Wow, all that for one measly point.

Points: 4

No Escape!--This game by Imagic for the Atari 2600 has Jason angering the gods by stealing the golden fleece, so they send Furies after him. This is one of the few 2600 games I have that is boxed and I actually have everything in here...the game and booklet (pretty much mint), registration card and even a little catalog from Imagic on their other games. Since the company no longer exists, I guess that free Zircon joystick offer is no longer valid, huh? Rats, the offer expired about 20 years ago anyway!

This 1-point game brings me to 33 points total. At least I'm not claiming to have over 7.000 or even a billion points... :P

Super Punch-Out...I'm specifically referring to the SNES version here in which you must take out 16 goofy cartoony foes to emerge the final champion. Gabby's okay...but I still miss Glass Joe.

Top Gun -- my first NES game (along with Super Mario Brothers) and for that reason alone ranks high in my memory. Nice game for it's time. Damn hard, also. I've still never finished it. LOL
