... My new rearranged Game Room is done! (pictures are here: http://www.particles.org/room/room.html).

Has anyone actually counted how many feet of cable you have in your game room? I swear rewiring the thing took the most time. Tons and tons of audio video cables, RF cables, power strips and supplies, twist ties.

I started putting my cartridges in big storage drawers. So much for my "game room in a closet" concept. I started collecting for everything and the room basically exploded.

The closet is down to boxed games and "duplicate" systems (ie, systems that are of the same console, but a different variation.. Gen 3, Atari 2600jr, etc). I put all my console boxes up in the attic. My "new new" game room is slated for 2008, when we add an addition to the house I get the old master bedroom to turn into my game room :)

I left a spot open in my entertainment center for "future expansion" (I'm hoping for an Xbox for xmas :))

I like the organization you put into it. That makes all the difference in the world. Regardless of how much or how little you have, I think that organization is the most important aspect of designing a room of doom.

I like your entertainment center, but aren't controller cords a problem when your playing one of the overhead consoles? I've always wondered when I see a set up like that. I want one, but I'm not sure....

Not really.. I can sorta "catch" a cord on the side of the TV if it bothers me :) Normally though I don't notice it.

I organized my systems from top to bottom
top being teh longest controller cords.

Looks great! I too have a "Closet of Doom", but I couldn't stand keeping all my stuff in a closet, so I now have a small bookcase (For my CDs/Treasures) and a large skinny bookcase (for my Sega CD games). All my cartridges and systems are in the closet.
