okay i thought i already posted this thread but i guess i didn't, so here it is again. I'm having a problem playing old arcade games like pac-man, defender, galaga, centepede etc on MAME32 v0.77. the problem is whenever i start one of those games the screen flips and everything is horizontal. if anyone has any info on whats causing/how to fix this problem it would be much appreciated. also i can't get the waku waku 7 rom i downloaded from this site to work, everytime i try to play it i get a files missing error.

For Waku Waku 7 you need to add the Neo-Geo bios files. As far as the screen flipping thing, I can't fathom WHAT the hell the problem is. Zektor? :D

Let's see.....actually, no I don't. I haven't had a good source of roms since mame.dk shut down. Do you have any other NeoGeo games for MAME? If so, you can open the archive and borrow them from there. What you basically need are the four or so that aren't named like the rest of them.

I can send you the Neo Geo BIOS, just pm me your email. As for the screen flipping, you must have that set in your display options. In Mame32:

option->default options

Then click on the "display" tab and set "rotation" at default. Make sure the two flip screen options are unchecked as well. That should do it!

i made those changes and the screen is still flipping, maybe something is wrong with MAME or maybe it doesn't like my video card as i am running it on a laptop with one of those raedion mobile video cards with shared video memory, i'll try it on my mac and see if it still gives me the problems, thanks for the advice though :)
