I don't if this has been discussed yet, but it's something that should be brought up....

Have you seen this monster? $200 and you get the game, the 40 button controller and pedals. Sounds like fun.....

Even better, as no Funco (and I doubt EB) is getting one of these unless they are preordered. And Funco, at least, needs $50 for a reserve. Meaning, you probably won't be able to walk in and get one of these.

So I say, get one now, if you have the cash, preorder them, even if you don't have an XBox (I don't!), and hold onto it. Stuff like this is going to be like the VO Twin Sticks.... big money, you'll get back your 200 easily.

I'll play it, once. The guys at Funco said they'd hook up an XBox for me to give it a spin when it comes in, in November. :D

I was just talkin about that with my friend the other day...that thing will be hard to find, especially the controller. I mean, 200 bucks is steep, and a special controller=high demand for people wanting to play it in years to come.

That game looks too complicated to be any fun. I have much respect for Capcom for putting it out, and if you're really into mechs this will be the game to get. Buttons, levers, sticks, three pedals! Wow, it's impressive, but what a nightmare. Again, I totally respect the fact that they have the stones to bring such a niche title to the States (anyone hear how this has sold in Japan? I know the Xbox isn't exactly killing them over there.) but I just don't know about how it's going to do.

PS why is it that Capcom is bringing this monstrosity over and NO ONE would bring over the lousy twin sticks which cost a fraction?!? Hell, Sega didn't even publish VO:OT over here, Activision did. As much as I like VO:OT, I know I'm missing out because I'm trying to play it on a pad. *sigh*

Nobody is going to afford $200 for a game, but that setup would be like the greatest arcade game in the world!!!! Does it have multiplayer? Hooking 2 of those bad boys up in an arcade would be stinkin awesome!

I am suprised as well for Microsoft allowing an extremely Niche genre to the states. Mech games do not sell well at all in the states. I am deffinately getting this one though. There already working on a sequel so you'll at least have 2 games to play on this monster controller. The Sequel will more than likely not come packed with the controller which may cause the first game to be somewhat collectible. On the other hand, the sequel most likely will never end up on our shores if the first game doesn't do well.
