This is so very awesome, Capcom of USA announced Mega Man Mania (Rockman Mania) for GameBoy Advance, a compilation of the 5 classic NES Mega Man titles on one cartridge. In addition, the game will also include a collection of original Mega Man artworks, which can be unlocked as you play through the levels.

I can't wait for this, I am drooling all over the place. I still have to find a release date, but I do know Mega Man Mania is coming next year (2004). This so fantastic I can't wait. I LOVE Mega Man. :D :rocker: :D :rocker:

It was my understanding that this is a compilation of the 5 Mega Man games released for the original Gameboy...

Well, from the info I found, it covers updated versions of Mega Man 1-5 for the NES. Kinda a mini portable version of the upcoming Mega Man Anniversary Collection anthology.

BTW, release dates for both are late Feb. 04 for Mega Man Anniversary and late March 04 for Mega Man Mania. Of course, I could fiind very little info about Mega Man Mania, but that means nothing.

It's actually the 5 Game Boy titles, colorized and ported to GBA on one cart. No NES ones here! http://www.capcom.com/xpml/game.xpml?gameid=750069

Sorry folks....GB conversions (which are ripped from the NES games). I don't know why they'd do this instead of the NES ones, unless it's to maximize sales for the anniversary editions.....

The fifth Gameboy game was an entirely original game.. and pretty damn good for a B/W title at the time. That alone is worth the rerelease, the first four are just a bonus.

I can't see why anyone would complain about this.. Capcom is compiling FIVE games into ONE cartridge, unlike Nintendo. Besides, aren't they also releasing the original NES titles on a Gamecube compilation?

Maxlords: Thanks for the correct info! I tried looking on Capcom's site this morning, but ran out of time (and I couldn't find it anyway... go figure).

That's good to know.

Regarding the GameCube (and PS2) version: yes, it's going to be covering MM 1 through 8 (from NES, SNES, GB and PSX).

If you have a GBA Flash Cart you can play the original 6 MM and nearly every other NES game for that matter right now. I spent the better part of Sunday simply playing the MM games on my SP.

Mega Man Mania is defenitly a port of the 5 Game Boy games, sorry about the incorrect info guys/girls. This was the original sources falt for saying they were ports of the NES Mega Mans. This compilation is going to be awesome no matter what, I can't wait. :D :D :D

Well if they're porting the GB games I hope they only use the level layout and storylines and but re-programm it completely, NOT make a direct port.
Becuase one beef I always had with the GB MM games is that they all feel like they're going in ultra slow motion and MM himself takes up about 1/5 of the screen.

I persoanlly thought that while the GB MM games were a good attempt, they were just too flawed in the end, hopefully this cart will fix those problems.
