I wanted to get my brother-in-law a Power Joy II famiclone from QVC for Christmas. Problem is that the II's are backordered indefinitely. The model I's are in stock at $10 less. I'm considering that one instead. I'm hoping someone on the board has one becauseI need to know two things before I bu the model 1: 1) Cart slot, yes or no (Famicom cart slot is ok)? 2) What are the games on it, if somebody has a list? Google doesn't seem to be helpful to me today.

Bear in mind I need the specifics on the model I, not II or III.

I'd like to order it today if it's worth it so if you can help out with info please do. Thanks, folks.

Thanks for the effort, guys, but these are Power Joy II's. I actually have one of them so I know. The difference could be mostly packaging, i.e. - what games come built in or on the pirate fami, but in this case there is a bona fide hardware difference.

Here is the item in question (http://www.qvc.com/asp/frameset.asp?nest=%2Fasp%2FIsItemNumberRedirect.as p&search=SQ&frames=y&referrer=QVC&txtDesc=power+joy) on QVC's website (It's the top item in the list, #E17695). Judging from the picture, the primary unit does not look wide enough for a cart slot. So in that case my main concern is finding a known game list for this machine, if one exists. Brother-in-law likes sports games primarily and a few side scrollers. So if there are at least a few of these on the mnachine then it's worth it.

no telling... I'm surprised QVC is selling something that is a copyright violation.. and not just a small one..

Interesting. I never thought to look at QVC for a Famiclone. Too bad they're as ugly as sin!

These things aren't categorized, and I can't find any other systems like this other than a GB clone. Do they have any other clones?

They used to have that Namco 5-in-1, but then again that's actually legit.

We have a discount store chain here Called Crazy Clarks that were going to sell these "Super Joy's". our government even gave them a Classification. That morning when they were selling it, I seen it in the catalogue and wanted one, and went there after school to get one. Appraently, Nintendo had threatened them greatly that morning and they pulled it accross Australia. I wanted my famiclone... :(
