WOW!
What a game..
that's one more XBOX game to the list of completes (right behind Halo and MechAssault). It has been a pleasure! GTA Vice City.. here I come...
I have a few questions though.. What happen to that guy (forget his name) that had me go and do all kind of crazy stuff with that mystery box. He just disappeared never to be heard from again. And what was in the box anyways???
oh well.. awesome game!

What box are you talking about? Donald Love is the one who just disappeared.

I haven't spent a lot of time with GTA3 yet. From what I've played tho, you'll enjoy Vice City so much more. Prepare to lose dozens of hours of your life to VC.

Right on! Glad to hear that! Im playing it right now lately on and off, and I love it. How many hours would you say did you put into it? Besides just fooling around, how long to straight finish it approx? I know its got LOTS of missions.

That's right! What the hell happened to Donald? And what was inside the box left behind on his desk!???
As far as the amount of time.. I only play for about 1-2 hours a night, and only 3 nights a week.
I was done with it in about 2 months I guess. And I did focus on the main missions.. I finished all the missions except the ones that involved phones. I left those behind.

Playing VC straight through won't take long. I just beat it last week. I beat it with 60% in under 10 hours. It would have been faster, just too much to do!
I am now working on 100%. Then, it will be time to tackle GTA 3.

If you like GTA you will love True Crime. I love the combo fighting system. I am not too far into it but I like what I have seen so far.

Spoon..
you should have started with the original and then VC.. I started VC today, and I right away noticed the difference. You can do a lot more stuff in VC with the environment, and the vehicle selection is awesome!

Donald Love makes an appearance in VC also, as well as a couple of other GTA3 characters.
It's never been stated what exactly is in that box (one theory that it was some kind of time machine) -- I think it's supposed to be like the briefcase in Pulp Fiction.

I would have played GTA 3 first, if I hadn't played it so much back when it firt came out. I noticed a huge difference in both games also.
The one feature that is in VC that I wish was in GTA 3 is the abiltiy to punch/hit cars. I love it when they get out and run after you or speed ahead into other cars. THe damage you can cause to the cars is also awesome.
I'll bet Tommy could kick some major ass in the Street Fighter Bonus round where you have to smash a car.

IMHO the most important addition to Vice City was a much better mapping system. When I try to play GTA3 I have trouble finding items that aren't marked, but should be. Also, the full map feature is desperately needed in GTA3.

The punching of cars was my favorite. The most important to me was the handling of the cars. The map was def. also better in VC.
