Just a note to anybody before reading this topic: " This is a swimming in "Lake Me" type of topic, that is long and it rambles on. This is a warning"
Well, at least I've got all the old systems that I used to have. One more system, and I will have reclaimed every system that I've owned at one time or another. All I need is a Neo-Geo Gold System. I just got my 32X in the mail, courtesy of "jonjandran". Thanks! Blackthorne on the 32X rocks! The 32X was one of my last previously owned systems that I hadn't been able to obtain yet.
But now I've finally got it. The Neo-Geo is the next system that I need to get, and then I would now posses every single video game system that I did back in the day. You see, I was the type that would sell a old system to get a new system. I did it over and over. Sold my NES and all my NES games, to purchase a Turbo and bunch of games. Bought a Genny. Sold my Turbo and all my Turbo stuff to buy a Super Nes and some SNES games. Bought a Sega CD. Sold my Sega CD, Genesis and SNES, to get a Neo-Geo gold system. Then sold my Neo-Geo gold system to get back my SNES and Genesis. Got a 3DO. Got a Jaguar. Got a 32X. Sold my 32X and got a Saturn. Sold my Jaguar and got a Playstation. Sold my Saturn and got a Nintendo 64. Sold my 3DO and got a 3DFX based PC. Sold my Playstation and N64 and got a better 3DFX PC. Got a Dreamcast. Got a PS2. Sold my Dreamcast and PS2 and got a XBOX and GameCube.
It was at this point, when I had a XBOX and GameCube, that all of a sudden in May of 2003, I got the bug for old school classic games. I was in a Game Crazy and I bought Madden '93 for Genny and NBA Live 95 for SNES. Madden '93 was 49 cents and NBA Live '95 was like $1.49. I don't know why I bought them, cause at the time I didn't have a Genny or a SNES, and I really didn't plan on getting one. But next thing you know, I buy a Genny. Then I get a SNES. Then I get a TurboGrafx-16. Then I get a Sega Saturn and N64. Then all of a sudden, I'm a full on retro-gamer, with a missing to get every system that I've once owned.
Now I have every single system, except the Neo-Geo, and also the PS2. But the PS2 is a current system, and it isn't a retro system, and I'm not really interested in getting one, any time soon. I'll probably grab one, when I can get it for $99. But until then, I'll pass.
As for the Neo-Geo, I definitely want to get one of these puppies, but I don't know if I really want to get the cart system like I had. I think I would rather have the CD system.
At some point, I might want to get a Sega Master System, even though I've never owned the machine. I might also want to get the Turbo CD player, even though I never had one, back in the day. Actually a Turbo Duo would be better. Never had one of those. But other than that, I think I've owned just about every major home console, since the TurboGrafx-16. I also owned the Atari 2600 back in 1977 or 1978 when I was like 7 or 8 years old. Also had the NES back in 1985, when I was like 14 or 15 years old.
Here are the systems that I got back, and where I was able to obtain them
