I sorta wondered what happened to this one but never looked into it until now. Here (http://www.flyinggoat.com/Games/ftr_p01.html) happens to be a website of the former lead artist on that project. Sorry, no roms or prototypes here, but there is a ton of concept art and some in-game graphics. Fairly neat, didn't know if this was discussed before, and the artist in question is apparently deceased since Sep. 2000 so no interviews for her.

For some reason, those Triceratops-headed monsters remind me of the original Ninja Turtles comics.
Anyway, this guy (http://www.stushepherd.homestead.com/files/GameDesigns.htm) also has some Fire Team Rogue artwork on display. Nice designs, though I've got to wonder how the resulting game actually played. Was it ever reviewed anywhere?
And if I may, I'd like to congratulate Bratwurst for culling an awesome sig from a dreadful webcomic.

There is a preview of the game with two screenshots and sample art of Broc the purple dinosuar dude in Volume 57 of Nintendo Power. From the looks of it the game seemed to be like Blackthorne in terms of sidescrolling fighting and exploration, but there were also supposed to be mode-7 type spaceship levels. I have seen screens of this elsewhere in later issues of NP.
Interestingly enough there is also a preview for Taito's Ninja Warrior SNES on the adjacent page, and it didn't come over here, that I know of.
