I played more F-Zero today. I beat all three classes on Beginner (man, Fire Field is a BITCH), and then I did Knight on the standard difficulty.
Also played up to level 3 in Super R-Type, and I got up to the super fast scrolling stage in Gradius 3. I think I'll put some more time into Gradius 3 and try to beat it, but Super R-Type is kicking my ass too much for me to seriously get into it right now.

Star Wars EP3: Revenge of The Sith - DS
played through some more missions with Obi-Wan, including 2 flying ones which are always nice for a change. These levels seem easier than the first lot. Only 3 more levels to go now then I can see if there are any more flying modes in the game
18 Wheeler - Dreamcast
Ran through all the Score Attack levels - this was a nice surprise as I thought that they would simply be the exact same levels as the arcade game. Had a lot of fun, especially when I realised you could destroy your rival for serious cash - bouncing the bonus cars is fun also. The last level in San Francisco is really good as per all San Francisco tracks in racing games
Outrun - Dreamcast
After 18 Wheeler this game seemed far too fast. Listened to Passing Breeze. I am not very good at this at all but it is so enjoyable and the fact that the checkpoints are placed just so - that I always fail with the checkpoint within reach - making me play again and again and again. Someday I'll get good.
Meteos - DS
edited to add this. Forgot about it because I normally play it quite a bit anyway. Unlocked another planet leaving only the final planet - Meteo - to unlock. Then I can start unlocking the rest of the items and the sounds then i will be happy

Currently working through:
DS - Castlevania
This is the best game I've played on the DS yet! It's probably been the most I've ever used the DS in about the 10 months of owning it, lol. I'm currently at 78.9% completion. I'm at the final boss and am currently hunting down the side bosses and then am going to get the bad ending first and then the best. At the moment I'm doing soul hunting which is a bitch. Some creatures do NOT give up souls easily, plus there's a bunch of hidden monsters. Hopefully the horribly expensive soul eater ring will make it easier....still need about another 35,000 gold...

I played a bunch of Wario Land today at school. I started from the beginning and got up to the second area's boss before my batteries finally gave out. Then when I got home I played a little more while looking for another pair of batteries with some juice left in them. I beat the boss and played through a few stages in the third area. I think I'm getting the hang of the game now, but it's still a little weird. It's a nice change of pace, though. Usually when I play a platformer, even if it's new to me, everything is as expected, but half the time in Wario Land I can't even tell how I should attack the enemies so I don't get hurt. :P

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Lockdown
Ok..the Game is OK..I really haven't found anything in the game to make me say WOW! yet..and I'm pretty deep into it..A few cool spots here and there..
This game I liked the beginning missions better, vise versa Black Hawk Down.
It's very bland..I hate the sniper parts as they all have that one impossible enemy that hits you time and time again making you do the mission over and over until to realize where he is...Having to do this ruins any fluidness of the mission..
It's a shame that the enemy can hit me most of the time yet stand front in front of my men firing tons of shots into them and nothing happens...plus they can't hit me for shit if I'm far but the bullets will be a flying like crazy toward me.
It's all the same crap over and over again..
Also it gets very aggravating when my men keep getting caught up/snagged on things...and I have to go all the way back to get them..I dunno how many times I cursed to this... x_x
.............................
Funny story.
Dear Husband:
I'm writing you this letter to tell you that I'm leaving you for good. I've been a good woman to you for seven years and I have nothing to show for it. These last two weeks have been hell. Your boss called to tell me that you had quit your job today and that was the last straw. Last week, you came home and didn't notice that I had gotten my hair and nails done, cooked your favorite meal and even wore a brand new negligee. You came home and ate in two minutes, and went straight to sleep after ! watching the game. You don't tell me you love me anymore, you don't touch me or anything. Either you're cheating or you don't love me anymore, whatever the case is, I'm gone.
P.S. If you're trying to find me, don't. Your BROTHER and I are moving away to West Virginia together! Have a great life!
Your Ex-Wife
Dear Ex-Wife,
Nothing has made my day more than receiving your letter. It's true
That you and I have been married for seven years, although a good woman is a far cry from what you've been. I watch sports so much to try to drown out your constant nagging. Too bad that doesn't work. I did notice when you cut off all of your hair last week, the first thing that came to mind was "You look just like a man!" My mother raised me not to say anything if you can't say anything nice. When you cooked my favorite meal, you must have gotten me confused with MY BROTHER, because I stopped eating pork seven years ago. I went to sleep on you when you had on that new negligee because the price tag was still on it. I prayed that it was a coincidence that my brother had just borrowed fifty dollars from me that morning and your negligee was $49.99. After all of this, I still loved you and felt that we could work it out. So when I discovered that I had hit the lotto for ten million dollars, I quit my job and bought us two tickets to Jamaica. But when I got home you were gone. Everything happens for a reason I guess. I hope you have the filling life you always wanted. My lawyer said with your letter that you wrote, you won't get a dime from me. So take care.
P.S. I don't know if I ever told you this but Carl, my brother was
born Carla. I hope that's not a problem.
Signed,
Rich as hell and free

More Gradius 3 and F-Zero for me today. In Gradius 3, I got up to the final stage, but I have to admit I used the Konami code in the super fast stage to help with the boss fight (at my boyfriend's suggestion). I'm getting better, so I should have this beat pretty soon, at least on the easy difficulty.
In F-Zero, I beat every class on standard, and then I beat Knight on expert. I guess you could sort of say I beat the game since I got the credits, but I'm going to continue and beat Queen and King on expert too. Maybe I'll try to tackle master difficulty too, but I might just save that for another time.

Played through a few more missions of Armored Core: Project Phamtasma and worked my way up through the arena into rank 31 or somesuch by abusing the hell out of the dual rocket launcher I found back in the first game. Now the AI is starting to get better, so I'm going to have to really fight for the next batch of battles.
As far as actual story missions go, I'm on mission 8
I've also spent a little bit of time playing Outrun 2, working my way through the challenges. I suck at this game every bit as much as Outrun 1, but it's still every bit as awesome and fun. Sumo Digital did a fucking amazing job of bringing this sucker home.

I was stuck on one D Class race tonight..No matter what car I used I could not beat the other cars, they would pass me on the straights like nothing.
Trying to use upgrades/the game wouldn't allow me to use any upgraded car..
Either the controller I'm using is wearing out or I just could not figure the right car out of 11 to use..
Finally before I gave up until tomorrow I caught a break..I made a nice turn being aggressive passing up a few cars, then two cars in front of me bumped each other slowing them way down I was going so fast I almost plowed into them but swerved around to the right and barely got by them to take the lead.
One of those WHOA!! moments.
I held the cars off and won the race..

Takes too much time. Game flow not great.
I had put Forza away for awhile, since I've had it since release, but Videogamerdaryll's constant talk of it has made me drag it out yet again. LOL
Videogamerdaryll......you've hit the part in the game where stock tunings don't cut it anymore. From now on it's not just the car and parts that matter, but the settings too. If you're still using those stupid triggers as gas and brakes, try changing over to the A and X buttons.....less "throw", way quicker response and they are pressure sensitive as well. Leave the triggers for shooters, where they belong. LOL The Saleen S7 , Koeniggsegg CC8S and Zonda C12 will be your constant friends, as will a garage full of variously tuned Imprezzas and Skylines. Don't forget...as soon as you win it, you can buy it too. If you're hard up for tuning parts cash, sell the expensive prize cars that aren't being driven and buy them again later.
Other than that, I finally beat the end boss and his cheap-ass minions in Untold Legends for PSP. I had to take in 180 lbs worth of healing vials, since you spend half of the battle frozen in place and unable to move or use magic. Good game.

Beat DMC a few days back, first time through, lovely game. Might play through again in the near future on a harder difficulty.
Picked up where I left off with RE4 (still haven't beat it, and I got it on the release day). About 18hours 20 minutes into it, awfully close to the end I suspect. Although not my favorite in the series, loving the intense action.
Making progress with Wind Waker, loving it.
Started playing Toyko Extreme Racer 3 again, plugging away at that Rival List. Around 61% of the rival list completed. And around 350 races under my belt. Fixing up my Skyline right now, around 550psi at the moment. Addicting game.

I've spent the better part of the last two hours playing through the Dragon Quest VIII demo. I got all the way to the end of the cave beneath the waterfall only to have my ass handed to me by Geyser. What a touch cookie he is. He pretty much wiped me out before I even got started.
I'm not too big into RPG games but this one really held my attention. The story is interesting, the characters are certainly interesting and I think the new graphical style is very nice. The sense of scale inside the first cave really impressed me. Voice acting is a mixed bag...anyone else get a load of Geyser? Yuk, more like geezer.
Anyway, really fun game. I think I'm going to go back to it and give it another hour or so and see if I can put this boss away. I'm at level 5, maybe I need to level up a little more.

what a boring week so far but I had time to play Juiced on PC. Picked up the game in hopes of a cheap attempt to satisfy my racing game crave and I am rather disapointed. First off the game just does not translate well to PC, graphics are decent but the only thing that sticks out are the cars and their paintjobs. Second the game controls like ass with a keyboard. I didn't expect it to be perfect but so many games do it better than this. Navigating menus is a pain, you can't even use your mouse, not a huge problem but when you can at times be customizing your car for a while it becomes a major pain. Personally I also hate the fact that you have to pay for damage to other cars and the game doesn't really know what it is Simulation or Arcade it almost seems to switch depending on straight aways and corners. It really is to bad because it does have quite intuitive customization but falls flat when you get behind the wheel.
