Front Mission & Clock Tower Questions

Over my Christmas break here in Japan I would like to play both Front Mission 1 and Clock Tower for the first time. I was wondering which are the definitive versions for each game. I wouldn't mind playing them both on famicom but i know they have both been released on playstation and clock tower might have other versions that im unwaware of.

Anyway which versions are the best of the these 2 games....any comments regarding them would also be welcomed.

Front Mission for SFC is THE definitive version, and all the menus are conveniently in English :D

As I understand it, "Clock Tower" on the Playstation is the sequel to the Famicom Clock Tower game. So if you want the original, you'll have to go with the Famicom version. Hope you understand Japanese. But then, I hear that there's an English hacked ROM of it out there somewhere. Someone's labor of love, I guess.

anyway, the super famicom clock tower was remade for the ps one (same game, more colorful 2D visuals). the first clock tower released in the states is the SECOND ps one clock tower, the explanatory note. clock tower: ghost head (jpn) is clock tower 2 here, and clock tower 3 is the same all over (whew!)...
