It was between Viewtfull Joe and Zelda. I went with Joe though.

Viewtiful Joe. With everything that is going on the screen, the visuals are stunning, especially with any of the three special powers.... Still amazes me everytime I do a slow mo move...

Viewtiful Joe. Although both windwaker and VJ are cel shaded, VJ just does more with it. The comicbook style and I think the game play also effect my choice here. The change from normal to superhero justs looks cool, and the speed control effects are also awsome. This game was by far one of the coolist new things I have seen in a while.

I voted Viewtiful Joe. I thought the animation was a much more original style.

As much as I was disappointed with it, Wind Waker was quite a sight to see. It was just "this" (holding hand up with thumb and forefinger apart about an inch) close to being mistaken for a cartoon. Nothing stood out as being "computer generated" and thus screwing up the overall look of the game. A game like Dragon's Lair 3D is a perfect example: all animated characters were cel shaded and looked like cartoons. Everything else looked "cartoony" but in an artificial way. A better example of what I mean is when you watch older cartoon movies like Prince of Egypt where you can SEE what is hand drawn and what is obviously computer generated.

I went WW too. There was so many little things that looked absolutly beautiful. Every flower, seagull, blade of grass all was presented perfectly.
