SC2- I loved the idea that each system had there own character. Awsome Graphics, great fighting, with weapons and everything else. Link is the best one though.

I must agree, at first I was a skeptic about playing SC2 on the cube with that controller, but it was simple to do. The game also looked great and the exclusive character idea was great.

SC2 is shit, the original is far better.
GGX2 is ok, only a few really great characters
Never played VF4 Evo, heard good things, but it's 3D, so I doubt I'll play it anytime soon.
SSV is easily the best fighter of the year. In fact, it might be the best fighter in a few years. Top of the line gameplay is what makes it the best.

I wouldn't say that SC2 is "shit", but having finally played the original I can certainly agree with you on the latter point.
The sequel is still the best fighter of the year to me, though. VF4:E is a strong runner-up, if only for the fact that all that goodness can be had for a piddling twenty bucks!

My vote is for Guilty Gear. Being a serious fighing game buff (and actually having the friends around to play it with), I have to say GGXX is my favorite fighter this year. SC2 has too many weird glitches, VF4Evo is too hard to find people to play, and I haven't even been near SSV.

Sam Sho. Soucl Calibur 2 sucked, and I can sum up why very easily:
How to win against anyone in that game: Wait for them to do an attack. Sidestep that attack. Do your own attack/combo. You just won.
There's no strategy to SC2. That's why I can't stand that game in the least. Quite frankly, the only reason I think anyone likes the game is because it looks pretty. Sure as hell can't match up to the infinitely superior SSV though in the regard of gameplay.

SSV EASILY. Not only is it the best in the series, but one of the best fighters ever. Everything else is secondary.

I concur. SSV is easily the best fighter of the year. I don't know if it's the best in the series necessarily (I haven't played the earlier incarnations for quite some time) but it's definaly better IMO than the batch of fighters that came out this year, most all of which seemed to play exactly the same and just lead to an overall "blah" factor.

I'm going to lose all hope in mankind if Soul Calibur 2 wins this, on a list with VF4e, SSV, and GGXX on it.
What about Mortal Kombat?
