Yep, it will work 100% with the Atari 2600 and Atari 8bit computers. But I wouldn't pay more than $2 for a Genny pad they are everywhere in thrifts and fleas.

Yeah, It works, I've used it before, but still. Advertising it as an Atari accessory.

Yeah, you're right. Check out this one I won, maybe he would have had more bids if he advertised it as the best Atari controller ever:

Now THAT one won't work on the Atari. At least not without some splicing.

Why would you pay $.8.00 plus shipping for a NES controller anyway? Aren't they cheaper than this at Gamestop?

Look at the auction closer, the controller has been gutted and a nine-pin plug has been rewired in. Pretty ugly solution imo, might as well stick with the Sega pads as they're black and already work without altering them.

Yeah, it's been rewired to work on Atari systems. I think it works great, the NES pad has a completely different feel than the Genesis d-pad. So I don't know why it's an ugly solution :P

Some games play better with the original Atari joystick, others with the Genny pad, and the NES pad is great for people who played a little bit too much Tecmo Bowl back in the day :)
