damnit, my ss is still on the list, i sent my gift out on december 12th but it's overseas without airmail (sorry but i already paid 15 bucks and it would have been 23 with airmail) so i already apologize in case my gift arrives to late, to be honest, i'm pretty sure it won't arrive in time :(

Somewhat ironic is that Greg (geelw) and I are BOTH on this list, we're the two people who have been burned in the past but returned for more abuse this year :)

Ah well, it's all about the giving to me anyway. My recipient is gonna do backflips with his/her gift this year!

If it's anything to go by in general with surface, they'll probably get it by the end of January...

It looks like a LOT of gifts are going to be showing up late.. Maybe next year we can aim for New Year's rather than Christmas, and *crosses fingers* maybe avoid some of the mad rush.

I think Christmas is an attainable goal IF folks ship out their stuff on time and realize that some of us do live accross the border, and shipping is slower around christmas.

We also should make it clear in the future that the suggested cost does not include shipping. I for once went over the suggested amount and still paid extra for air mail with confirmation. Let face it, if person A pays for air mail express, then person B should do the same! No need to cheap out and ship ground! Worst yet, hope people didn't include shipping cost in their suggested gift value..

still waiting for my package.

Just a thought for next year, how about we try to match up U.S. (I would guess the bulk of our members), and then any others. I thought we did that the first year (on the old board), where we attempted to match those across the world with people closer to them. This may not be 100% feasible, but it would eliminate some of these transatlantic journeys and make it easier for those who are on other video standards (NTSC vs PAL vs SECAM) to find appropriate things for their recipient.

Just my 2 cents, but I feel bad if these guys loose out. Have the missing senders been contacted and supplied proof of mailing at least?

Only Problem is what if we did ship out our gift early and it still hasn't been received. I sent out my package December 8th Expedited Parcel to the US (Should take 8-9) buisness days tracked and insured and my recipient hasn't received there gift yet. (And for those wondering, Yes I do have all the proof that I sent out my gift)

Would you happen to be my SS? Because I just got a package from him today.

Either way, I got my gift so you can cross me off the waiting list!

Not him, I am sure my gift will find its way there I just hope it does before Christmas!

Well, considering that people in say, europe, as a general rule, won't mind getting north american releases, and european games, particularly for master system, are worth getting if you're in the states/canada.

And I can't say I know that they've ever matched people by region.

I'm really stressing about this since my stupid shipping department sent mine mail (without tracking) Global Priority USPS on Friday the 12th. They said it would take 2-3 business days. Arrrgh.

ARGH! You're NOT SUPPOSED TO SAY NAMES!! A simple "I got my gift" would have sufficied!!!
*sigh*
I'll never win.

My SS receiver is on the list, and I sent the package 2 weeks ago. According to USPS tracking it arrived on 12/12. If a mod would like the tracking number I can provide it.

It'll sit under the tree until the 25th, but a big TIA to my Santa.

It worries me that my SS has'nt gotten my gift yet. He's one of the people still on the list and I sent that package by AirMail out of the country two weeks ago! I've mailed to this country a lot and it's NEVER taken that long. I just hope it did'nt get held up in customs for some reason. I would have paid for tracking but it's so damn expensive to do that. :(

If he has'nt gotten it by a week after Christmas (when I return here from going home on Thursday) I'll have to make it right to them.

Just got back from a Pre-Christmas (yuck!) business trip and my SS package was waiting for me. As I left on Sunday, it would have arrived on either the 22nd or 23rd. Please take me off the waiting to arrive list. My package is now under the tree (and rather heavy), so I'm looking forward to cracking it open on the 25th!

nah, you don't seem to understand, the 15 bucks i paid was only for shipping!!!! those 15 of course don't include the amount i spent on the games. and it should not take months to arrive i've send this way several times and it usually arrived in 2-4 weeks. of course i would have send it with airmail normally but it was december 13th and i had only 200 bucks left for the rest of the year, and i still needed some gifts!!

Don't we get to reveal who we are SSs for today? Stupid me, I had the flu when we were doing this and forgot to put my name on it anywhere @_@ At least I put a "do not open" warning on it.

Thanks for starting that thread later on today, POG. Since I work tonight and fly home tommorow (and can't have wrapped gifts in my bags) I wanted to open my gift tonight so I could see what it was and try it before work. I think 6 PM is late enough to consider it Christmas Eve. ;)

I only say this because there is a box under my tree that says "Secret Santa" and I've just about ripped out all my hair trying to figure out what's in there!!!!!!!!!!! @_@ @_@

Okay, I'm going to start the thread in the Off Topic forum, because I don't have the ability to make it a sticky in this one, and I don't see anyone around who can.
I'm going to start it now, because I'm off very shortly to do some holiday cheer-spreading!

Merry Christmas to everyone!

Hey Jaime, I've gone home to my mom's house for the next 10-12 days. I haven't yet received my SS package. I'm having the Urbana post office hold my mail for that period of time, so I won't be able to post and confirm whether I received it or not until about Jan. 5 or so. I'm sure it'll be waiting for me when I get back.

Have a very happy Christmas everyone!

Thanks for letting me know, Kevin! I'm sure it'll be waiting for you, too. And we'll all be anxiously waiting to hear what you've gotten!
I hope you and your family have a very merry Christmas, and we'll see you next year! (HA! First time I get to use that this month :) )
