Hello...
All of you who collect pal psx and dreamcast games, wich come in those weird jewel cases, don't you just hate a cracked case? If it get's broken, or if you buy a game with a broken case, or the case get's broken in the mail...
Don't you just hate it? Doesn't annoy you to have cracked cases in your collection?
What do you do about it?
Regards!

Well, I don't collect PAL DC or PSX games, but I have MANY broken PS2 and Xbox cases in my collection that really bother me. I'm trying to get new ones.

I just don't buy stuff with cracked cases! :D
Whilst this is easy with PSX stuff (as spare cases are reasonably easy to find, and the sheer commonality of PSX games makes finding a game in an intact case easier), with Dreamcast it makes things quite hard.
I'm proud I've managed to aquire over 20 games, all of which have their original cases in-tact.
Plus, if I do come across a game (for PSX or DC) and the case is cracked and I really want the game, I just ask if I can swap the case with a different game. Alternatively, if the games are on a shelf, I'll quickly swap the case whilst no-one's looking. :P
Thankfully, after a while, even PAL PSX games were packaged in standard CD cases. All you have to make sure is present, is there "PlayStation" imprinted disc holder part - which is almost always there.

Sadly, Pal DC games seem to be the most fragile game cases ever - I've had quite a few develop cracks with only the slightest knock. And unfortunately, it was never easy to buy replacement cases for them. I don't really know why the Europe DC games used these cases over the bog-standard CD case - put it down to another Sega mistake I guess. :(
Probably the worst example of a damaged DC in my collection -

It was supposedly fine when shipped but that was the state I got it in!
