Of new TVs and Ironies...

WHOOOO! After months of having no decent tv for games (old one hit by lightning sometime in August), I finally got a kick-ass new TV! I got a Zenith 27" HDTV (this one: http://www.circuitcity.com/detail.jsp?c=1&b=g&catoid=-11482&qp=0&bookmark=bookmark_0&oid=77666 ). That covers the TV portion, but the real irony of this is, the first game I played on my new HD was Robotron! I had picked up Midway Arcade Treasures today and was jonesing for some invader-ass-kicking action. At least I popped my TV's gaming cherry up right!

My Gaming Room currantly has a Magnavox 20" Regular TV, HDTV's are still WAY expensive here (That TV would cost about $2000 here, damn PAL). My TV is only mono (White & Yellow Only), No S-Video, No Component, etc. Everything still goes great and looks goos though through the Regular AV (Genesis/Sega CD looks F*cking Brilliant Through it).

i see it uses the faroudja chip for progressive scan... that is an excellent chip- i bet it'll provide some great progressive scan quality
