About media players. Since the emulation scene is kind of slow as we are all awaiting the new wonderful release of Mame, I have been messing with media player replacements for what everyone uses. Typically Windows Media Player ad Winamp. I have tested a ton of players to play my extensive DivX and MP3 collections, and found two that just take the cake:

QCD Player. A definite replacement for Winamp...or any other MP3 player for that matter. Free, ad-ware free, and good as gold. I urge you all to give it a try....I highly doubt you will regret it.

Zoom Player. Holy cow, so many options! But don't let that stop you from using the BEST media player available. This player is the complete solution/replacement for WMP. I have had no problems whatsoever on multiple machines. PLays everything, loads in a heartbeat. I love it. Sure you will too.
