Hey all,I was just wondering if you need a mod chip for your PS2 to play imports or if you can buy a game shark(like the dreamcast) or pro action replay disk and play imports.I want GT4 prologue BADLY!!!! :D
Thanks!!

I believe with a Game Shark you can boot imports, but you'll have to swap discs somehow. Without a modchip or a flip-top, that probably means you'll be doing a knife swap or something similar. Not particularly good for your PS2, but ... gotta do whatcha gotta do. If you plan on ordering several imports, check into a modchip or at least a flip-top.

There are a number of ways to go about playing Imports... the most reliable of course woudl be to get a Japanese PS2. But I do know that is not an option for some people. So the next step then would be to modify your system with one of the many chips out on the market(none of which I will mention here). Also you could get a slide card of flip top and make use of the swap magic discs that would allow you to swap and play imports/backups.
