there's this geezer selling a colecovision and a bunch of games - one of them is apparently called RETURN TO EARTH.

I asked him about it and he said it is a colecovison game. I've personally never heard of it - does it exist?
chances are its some kind of boot - are ther many colecovision boots out there?
there's another guy selling a bunch of games including (apparently) ms.pacman. Doubt its real, but does anyone know about these?
thanks in advance

They're either bootlegs or they're not ColecoVision games.

Here's a list of released titles if you're interested.

there's this other guy who sais he has a cart with no label and thinks its keystone kapers 2. eh? Hack job, no?

I have no clue, other than the fact that many non gamers confuse CV carts with 2600 carts, as the shape is very very similar. Also, since 2600 games can be played on a CV with the module, that adds to people's confusion. Unless it's a collector (geezer?) assume he's an idiot, and has no clue.

Can you actually get a look at the cartridges? Or is this an eBay sale or something? If you can actually get a look at the cartridges, you should be able to tell if they're ColecoVision cartridges or not. Specifically, if they have two plastic prongs on either side of the contacts, then they're definitely Atari 2600 games. Other than that, the only other obvious difference is that the bottom of ColecoVision games are not square (like 2600 games). They're more like this, with two corners angled off:

(hope that came out right)

sure, but these are all auctions that are being carried out in Argentina's version of ebay...

and these guys (by the way - geezer=dude (London slang))
are saying that the carts are for colecovision, and run on colecovision hardware.. they don't know that much but it is apparent that these are colecovision games - maybe homebrew/foreign releases or pirate hacks?

If they are hacks/homebrews what could they be worth? - they are being sold for quite a bit.

here is one of the auctions. check out the pictures. very blurry indeed but it would seem that most of the games offered are either foreign or boots (from the picture) still, some of the titles these guys clame to have... bewildering to say the least...

impossible to tell from those photos, but if you would ask him about those particular games and see if he can get a photo...
that would really help.

im interested in buying just those games, and i could work out a deal with you to be a middleman-

see if he will take a photo of the bottom of the cartridge, like the bottom that plugs into the colecovision.

PM me if you get a chance

Long shot, but did the 2010 game have something about "Return To Earth" in a subtitle? I don't think so, but it's ringing some sort of dim bell...

Or it could be a bootleg of Gyruss. That seems like a fairly appropriate re-titling.
