My significant other got me a Hip Gear wireless controller for my XBOX for christmas. Before I open the box, I was wondering if anyone has/used this device? How does it compare to others? (Like the logitech one).
she has no problem with me returning it and getting the logitech, but if they're both just as good, I might as well keep this one.
Please let me know.

After much long searching, I have found the gameinformer back issue that comments on wireless xbox controllers. Unfortuneatly, it doesnt review the hipgear. But fear not! It does review 3 others wireless controllers. It says that logitech's controller is the most powerful (2.4 GHz), but is the most akward and expensive. The mad catz Lynx version is supposed to be ok, but it says the analog sticks are a bit slippery. It recommends the Pelican "Elipse" as the best controller and all out preformer.
So this doesnt help you with the one you got, but it at least tells you which ones not to get if you return it. By the way, let me know if it is any good if you open it. I am also in the market for one of those things. I just wish that microsoft could make one that was as kick as as Nintendo's wavebird, but thats probably a dream.
