Went to go visit a friend of mine yesterday down in Dallas (Irving, actually). We ended up heading down to the Grapevine Mills mall to kill the afternoon.
If you're a gamer or just a kid at heart, this is a pretty cool place to drop by if you're ever in the area. We went in the ESPN X-Games Skatepark entrance and watched the kids skate for a few minutes. Right past there was an EB, which we went in and browsed (almost bought Pigs in Space playset but ended up passing).
From there we went to Robotica (sp?) where I ended up buying one of those Super Joy III 76000-in-1 units for $29.99. They had choice of black, red, blue, or gray (picked gray). They had lots of cool toys there, I ended up picking up some Big Trouble in Little China action figures as well.
We also spent a few minutes in Gameworks. Wow, it's not like any of the arcades are here, I can tell you that! The ground floor was mostly shooting and racing games (I have never seen so many gun games in one place before in my life!) but at least they had some vintage games upstairs.
Had a great time. If you're ever in the area and have some credit left on your credit card, drop by!
