GB Player for GC "Press Z: Options"

Dumb question alert! Sound the alarm!

Okay, on the GB player for the GC there's that little message in the upper right hand corner, "Press Z: Options."

Question: is there a way to get rid of it? It's pretty annoying, and I know that I can press "Z" to bring up the option screen. Plus, I don't see it on the screenshots on the package, so I'm just wondering if there's a way to hide it while playing games on the ol' TV set. Or in this case, the "idiot box" since I'm an idiot. :) I even read the instruction manual and everything! D'oh!

I've never really realized it, but I do hit it every once in a while when I'm trying to bring up a map or something. I don't know why, but I do :(

I think it's impossible to remove.

Hmm... Does it go away if you set the screen size to "full"? That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Nope, been playin' all the games in full screen mode and it's still there. I was thinking more along the lines of... y'know, maybe there's a top secret code (L, R, L, R, U, D, U, D, B, A, Start) or something that will make it disappear. Or you can hold a particular combo of buttons to remove it or something like that.
