I'm curious, because I've got it and have been eying it up. I don't know if I'm going to tackle it before or after FFX-2. Huzzah for Christmas and four-day New Years' weekends!
So if you've finished it - or at least played a significant portion of it... what did you think?

As far as RPGs go, its good. Its honestly a very old-school RPG; combat mainly consists of preparation, and then hitting them hard and often. The storyline is average, but at least the characters are likable, if a bit two-dimensional. I can't say anything in relation to FFX-2, having not played it, but Wild Arms 3 falls into the catagory of "play it when you have nothing else to play."
Actually, put it a little higher on you're "to play" list if you've never played a Wild Arms game.
If you end up enjoying it, look forward to the remake of the original that is currently being worked on (Altercode F or something; all of them have strange subtitles in the Japanese verions {2nd Ignition, Advanced 3rd}).
(In other words, I'd probably save it for the game drought that occurs after March)

I don't have this game (nor do I even have a PS2), but I picked up the "Official Perfect Guide" for it from a local thrift store for 50 cents.... I suppose that means I'll eventually beat it...

I've actually finished my most recent endeavour (Beyond Good and Evil, excellent game but really short), and am getting through Castlevania (finally!) and I need a new RPG to play. I've got about 4 dozen of them sitting here looking at me, and this is one of them. Additional feedback is rather welcome.
I've played through the first one and found it enjoyable enough to finish, but I can't say I remember much of anything from it, I played it pretty much right when it was first released. I own the second one but haven't touched that either.
I haven't played 1 or 2 but 2 is considered the best. I played about 65 percent of wild arms 3. It's definetly a good rpg. It's challenging and theres tons of hard puzzles. You can skip a good portion of them so I opted for that since I couldn't get through them. The cell-shaded aspect looks good.
I haven't continued it cause I put it down to start ffX and now I don't know what to do..... I forgot. dooh!!!!

:)
Basically, yes, I played it and beat it. VERY CHEESY lines in the dialogue. a Very good story, but you REALLY can't imagine how BAD some of the lines were (The typical we can make it if we all work together to fight for our freedom for the future of the world as a team! type crap.)
Really good game, just try to look past those STUPID lines in the dialogue and see the story for what it is. Also, auto-battle is a MUST, the average battle are VERY easy (boss battles had a decent difficulty though)

Well I am waiting to get my PS2 from ebay. But I got wa3 and powerpuff girls from overstock at its recent sale. (10 dollars shipped for both games). I loved the first two and this one seems interesting.

It's good. Decent storyline, but not one of the best RPGs on the system. A 7.5 or so out of 10 I'd say.

Outside of WA3, is 1 and 2 worth getting?

1 absolutely. Here's my review of it (http://ps.vgf.com/reviews/wildarms/index.htm), although I've improved greatly as a writer since then. :)
I've never played 2, but it's always been on my "one of these days" list.

I just did'nt care for WA 2 or 3 much. I wanted a game that played like the first -- a favorite of mine -- and did'nt get it. :(
Will the remake of Wild Arms be coming out in the States? PLEASE let there be a God!
