No Picture = no bid
But what makes you feel like there is a scam there. It just seems like a dumb seller.

Well I know this sounds evil, but he is a dumb seller and you should've taken advantage of the fact that it could of been bought for a much lower price. ;)

I was hoping that not many people would see this so i could get it cheap, but i was wrong. :( I wish i would have seen this early so i could offer the seller some money to stop. Oh well.

it might be a spam, but then i dont think this guy knows what hes selling, most scams say "ULTRASUPER RARE" or something so it might be 50/50

This kind of behind the scenes activity is total bullshit
Once the item is listed the seller should be held to selling it to the highest bidder.

In a perfect world yes, that kind of stuff does suck. This has happened to me a few times and although it is irritating, it doesn't pay to stay too upset about it. Sometimes sellers get such a crazy offer, they have to accept it.
Back on topic:
I don't think this is a scam, but the condition of this item could be very suspect w/o any pictures.

If I were a seller and someone offered me money to stop the sell I would be suspicious of the rarity and say no. Because maybe someone will have a bid war over it. :D But that's me.

This activity reminds me of the people who come knocking on my front door at 7am when I advertise a tag sale as starting at 9am. I usually tell them to fuck off and learn to read in the mean time.

I usually have a very intelectual conversation with those types of people untill they get freaked out and leave by themselves. However, I'm sure the "fuck off" method is quite effective.
