1964 (Nintendo 64 emulator) has been updated! I have not tried it yet, but this looks to be a big release. Post your experiences with it here.

From what I've seen so far this thing is awesome.
500% better than the previous release.
This is my new N64 emulator !!!!!
Even better than Project 64 .......

Ooo. I wonder if this one will finally run Dr. Mario 64?

I don't have that rom to test it. :(

For those of you with modded X-boxes some people are porting this version to it. Look for it soon.

Edit: I tested Dr Mario 64 and it loaded but didn't play. The graphics are all sliding to the left. I tested with default settings. Your mileage may vary.

Good stuff, Maynard! I'm surprised at the quality of the emulation... it plays games even Project 64 couldn't handle. Bangai-O still doesn't seem to work, however.

I don't suppose anyone knows how to get Rice's Daedalus plugin to work with a secondary video card? In DirectX mode, the plugin still seems to use my crappy Rage Pro card (instead of my less crappy Voodoo2), and in OpenGL mode it still seems to use the OpenGL ICD (so I can't just rename 3dfxvgl.dll to OpenGL32.dll and put it in the same directory like I usually do).

Yep, same deal here with Dr. Mario. Otherwise, this is definitely a milestone release. ALOT of games work now, although I do think I need a better video card than this old TNT2 32mb that I have been using for quite some time now. Perhaps a new Geforce 128MB is what I need :)

The trouble with N64 emulation, it seems, is that it is difficult to attribute a bug to an emulator, a plugin, or both. Presently, Paper Mario runs with no sound, Kirby 64 works fine until I collide with an enemy, and Pokemon Puzzle League starts crashing in Story mode once I reach Bruno.

I'm using Glide64 right now; I assume everything works fine with the latest version of Daedalus?
