We know some of your gaming resoutions for 2004, but what do you aim to start collecting, or what collection you plan to finish this year?

For me I want to get more with my Activision Aari 2600 collection as well as possibly try to start getting the boxes for those and my Tengen NES and Mega Man carts.

I'm as well possibly gotta begin collecting Lynx or even INTV carts.

GET. GRADIUS. GAIDEN. And maybe a modded PS1 to go with it. My quest begins...

My resolution is to sell off the stuff I'm not really interested in anymore, and concentrate my playing and collecting time on just a couple of systems. Cool thing is that I accomplished most of this late last year, and now I've only got a couple of days work left at it. :D

I resolve to fatten up my newly forming MVS collection and play the crap out of it :)

1. Get rid of all but one medium sized box of trade stuff.

2. Acquire more 2D Playstation and Dreamcast games.

Spend less money on games, and what I do spend, make it things like homebrews and things I'll actually play.

I resolve to sell all of my unwanted promotional items I have received from the vendors, and all of my videogame related t-shirts, and hintbooks (close to 3,000 of them) just to pay for my divorce. I hope none of you ever have to go through this.

On the collecting side I am trying to complete DC and N64 games in the first 6 months, and finish Sega CD and my 7800 collection by the end of the year, over half way there without even trying.

I plan on getting a Gamecube and some games for that, but other than that, with new home ownership on the horizon, I'm vowing to cut back on spending/buying/collecting and spend more time PLAYING and ENJOYING. In my NEW HOME. And having people over to play more often - lots of joy in my collection, might as well spread it around and show it off.

My collecting resolution isn't about collecting...it's about sharing the love for these old chunks of silicon I've got laying around.

Same as my resoulutions for 2003...

Finish Virtual Boy, Game.com, Odyssey2 collections.

Although, quite frankly, I think I'd better get cracking on an N-Gage collection before they get sucked from the stores :)

1. With the exception of RPGs and Shooters, trim my collection down ONLY to games that I will actually play in the future.

Made over a grand this week - lets see what I can do next. ;)

2. Back up all of the stuff I legitimately own on my new PC and X-Box so that I don't have such a clutter of systems hooked up the the TV and projector.

Gonna take a while to finish off all of these Turbo and PSX games...

1) Get a 4-Slot Big Red in decent condition

2) Get a complete mint copy of SvC Cardfighter Clash Expand Edition (good luck to me)

3) Get a complete US 32X collection

4) Find room for all this stuff! :D

I don't plan on getting complete collections of any system but there are some numbers I'd like to reach at which point I'd stop collecting for those systems...

Super Nintendo---200 games (need about 14 more)
Dreamcast---100 games (need 20 more)
Atari 5200---50 games (need 9 more...I would've been happy with my 40 games until I found River Raid hiding out from the others...41 games is not a good number for a collection)
Playstation--200 games (I have 134 now so I may not reach 200 this year)
Atari Jaguar--I currently have 21 which is also not a great number. I either need to sell 1 to go down to 20 or find 4 more...25's not a bad number. There aren't enough good games to go for 50 or anything like that.
Sega Saturn--I don't have a specific goal but I would like to get more...my Saturn collection numbers probably fewer than any other collection I have systems for.

I also want to win the lottery but that's another goal...though if I did that, it'd certainly make filling out my collections easier... :D

Collecting goals: Stop buying games entirely.

Playing goals: 10 RPG's... god knows I've got well enough of those to get through.

My collecting goal this year? Saturn imports, and lots of them. Ah, it sounds so simple.

LOL! You sound like me. I do the same thing. All of my totals have to be an even number or evenly divisible by 5 unless I own every game ever made for that system. Then it's OK if it ends in a weird number. So the only time I can buy one game at a time is when I'm going from 24 to 25 or from 25 to 26 or something like that. The rest of the time I have to buy my games in pairs or multiples of two. This usually works out pretty well, because no matter what game I want there's either a sequel or a closely related game of some sort.

Now of course if I want something badly enough, I will break my rules, but only temporarily. Then it will bug me until I find another game to get things back on track, and often I'll even buy things that I don't really want that much, just so I won't have to stress over any weird numbers creating havoc. It's kinda like a form of Feng Shui that I voluntarily impose upon myself for the sake of having even stacks of games that always store and display nicely. I just can't stand to have that one game making me wonder what the heck I'm gonna do about it until I finally figure out what the heck to do about it!

Oh yeah, a resolution: I'm gonna start looking for deals on dupes and stuff that I know I can sell for a profit on Ebay, to help finance all my collecting!

I'm going to finally database my entire collection. I goes unfortunately well into the thousands so I've just delayed forever - but for insurance purposes it's time to record and document it. After entering in my 300th NES title and knowing I have about 20 other systems worth of games to go I may throw in the towel again. Addictions are bad.

Oh, and at PhillyClassic 5 this year I'm going to play more than I shop. Yeah, right.

Peace through gaming,

://cd.

My resolution is to buy a GameCube and more games for it. I want one so bad I can practically taste it :)

Though my resolution this year is to play more, collect less (which as most new year resolutions go, is going quite well), I'll also stick to my lifetime gaming mantra "if I see it, don't have it, and can afford it, I'll buy or trade for it".

I'm going to try and finish a US SAturn COllecection and make serious progress on US Dreamcast, and US NES/SNES. If you couldn't tell, I have no interest in foreign releases. I'm very close to finishing US SMS as well. Hey does anybody know which US SMS games were released with foreign boxes, I know it was only a few, spiderman and a few others if I'm right. This info would help me a lot.

I'd like to finish off my Working Designs collection and finish my MAME cab.

I've got a list of exactly 100 games/items that I want and its slowly decreasing. Once I've finished that, I think I will be relatively done.

This year I want to complete my O2, game.com and rca studio 2 collections because those are the only ones I am close on and can easily do.My more ambitious goal is 20 new games a month across all collections. I also want to sell off my duplicates to support my habit.
