Hi Folks,

I just ran into this site online, and it seems they have a pretty awesome catalog of retro gaming Japanese goodness. Anyone ever dealt with them before? They look promising if they are reputable.

I really wish they had better product descriptions....

I don't know if they're any good, but I just sent them an E-mail asking them about the "Sega Mark III Game cards" they had listed with just a pic of about a dozen Mark III Gold Cartridges.

Mmmmmm..... SEGA!

Stay away from Tai Seng. They import a lot of Hong Kong stuff into the US and a lot of the quality isn't that good. I have a VHS of Jet Li's "High Risk" that has a blue screen with "REC" on it before the movie starts.

If you want more info, you can look at my FAQ

http://www.hkfilm.net/hkfilmfaq.htm

Or if you want a good laugh, try looking at old posts from Frank Djeng (the head of Tai Seng) on alt.asian-movies when he tries to justify why TS charges $80 for a VHS copy of a movie.

I've always wondere dabout this site too. I saw it a couple years back and forgot about it. I wonder how much they want for that Mega Game Doctor 2 with all the accessories. I would love to get my hands on that! If anyone has an experience with them please let me know.

Meh, I don't think they'll get any of my business. Their response to my inquiry of what they had in stock was basically:
"Yes, we have boxed Mark 3 in stock and also about 8 games, what are you looking for?"

Well, typically, the game store should answer your question with an actual answer, not any of that "the wise man is the one with the most questions" crap.

I got basically the same answer Racoon Lad.

I asked for a list of FDS games and if they were pirate, and complete or Disk only. This is the reply

"Hello:Ricardo Sir
Happy new year !
Thank you your order Famicom Disk.
OK,My shop have more Famicom Disk.
Total :45 famicom disk us$90 + Shipping
good day to you ntsco mak 3/1/04"

I am still interested, but what exactly do they have?

Looks like they have some nice stuff. $90 for 45 discs is a good deal if the games aren't pirated.
