If you're patient, you can pretty much find anything. As for the GBA SP Famicom version, you need to put away around $1K for one. They have been showing up on Yahoo.JP auctions and they have been selling for right around $1K US over the last few weeks.

Only $1K for a 25th Anniversary Famicom GBA SP? That's not as high as I'd expected.
Personally, a white Game Gear with case and TV tuner has been on eBay, $650 or $700. I'd rather get that, but I can't vouch for the price (they overprice other things) or their "only 1000 made" figure. Still looks awesome, though.
Something I've been looking for forever: Contra and Hinotori (Firebird) on MSX 2 :( I've seen two copies on eBay of both and lost every auction.
Probably will take longer to find NEC PC-XXXX (6001, 9801, etc) games, though.

That solid gold, jewel encrusted Gamegear..... They only made like 5 of them.
Of course, if I ever find it, I'll NEVER be able to afford it.
It'd look pretty cool in the CGE museum though.

I wonder what they'd go for.

My long time most wanted games aren't very hard to find...I just choose to make them hard to find I think :)
7800 - Ninja Golf and Mean 18
2600 - Tax Avoiders
Well... lately I've been looking for the Pigskin 621 A.D. PCB for my arcade... and I've been having a hard time finding one. I remember playing that at Chuck E. Cheese... great game! It's not that it goes for THAT much, I think the last one I saw went for $70, but I just didn't see it until it was already gone :( .

Alright in the spirit of the thread, I will bring this up. I know I could get one on Ebay or from one of you all, but I am determined to find Hellboy for the PS1 in the wild. This game has eluded me at every place I go and I am beginning to wonder if it was only released on one of the coasts!
It might not be a grail, but it still bugs me. x_x

An affordable NeoGeo. So basically, I'm looking for a higher paying job.

I'm looking for Golden Axe Warrior for SMS. I bid on probably 10 eBay auctions for this game in the last year and lost every one of them. And finding SMS games in the wild in my area is not really an option.

The white Game Gear just sold on Ebay for $300. No lie. As for the 1 grand, it really high, but worth it to me. I think I am goign to start saving up. You don't know how bad I want this thing.

No lie, yeah, but that's not exactly the one I was thinking of:

Still, was it identical to this one? Pisses me off that this seller is apparently so clueless as to what things are worth.

I remember reading about the diamond encrusted game-gear in Gamepro way back when! GOod luck finding even a picture of those...
As for me? I'm looking for the Japanese version of Starfox 64, complete in box with rumble pack. It's gotta be japanese.
And a white Sega Saturn, but I think I might let that one go, no reason for me to get it other than the fact that It's white.

Heh! http://www.ntscco.com.hk/md.htm
See how much the same white game gear (and look, it's got papers, the TV tuner, and the hard case, too!) is going for here? Can't say if it's new, but it doesn't seem to have anything wrong with it (at least at this resolution).

Is there something about it that makes it different from the North American version? (Other than japanese text of course).

An SG-1000. I already have an SC-3000, but I'd love to have an SG-1000. I'm not saving for it at present, but probably will eventually. And a 32X. I haven't for the life of me able to win one on eBay or find one in the wild...

Only for the last couple of months, but a GameBoy Player for the Panasonic Q (Missed a crapload on ebay cause I didn't check for a couple of weeks). I think I'm onto one though from an online store.

A turbo express w/o burnt pixels.... which kills me since there's one in my store someone tried to trade in and forgot to take back. We're going to wait for about a month, if no one claims it we're going to fight each other to the death for it. I must win....
Also, an affordable japanese Duo-R, Viewpiont MVS, Money Puzzle Exchanger MVS, Suikoden II, King of Fighters '97 MVS, and Snk v. Capcom: Cardfighter Clash Expand Edition. I had $120 stored away for this when it finally hit eBay and it went to $301 :(

In my case, it was Montezuma's Revenge for the SMS (it doesn't pop up too often on Ebay, and when it does it's often in a bundle with games I don't want). But this is in the process of being solved, so one less game to look for.
I was also searching and searching for a Colecovision copy of Spy Hunter, but now that I have Midway Arcade Treasures, maybe I'll just forget about it (not that Spy Hunter for CV isn't great...). Again, it rarely shows up on ebay. Searching for "Spy Hunter" either brings out Midway's remake or the NES version (ugh!).
I've been looking for an affordable copy of Final Fantasy Anthology, which should be a solved problem when Square Enix releases it as a Greatest Hits title (I want to get it for playing, so I don't care whether its spine is black or green).

No... just the fact that it's Japanese and I'm a Japanophile.

Waittaminute! There is still one game I'm still looking for: Activision Anthology for the GBA (I do have the PS2 version, but it's not the same as having a portable version to play on the go). Looks like I'll either have to buy it off ebay (if someone could actually not bid it off my hands) or just save time and bother and buy it off Aspyr itself (but it's more expensive because of shipping fees).

The two games that i really want are SMS Buster Douglas Boxing, and Stadium Events. Ill get BDB anyway i can, but SE i only want in the wild. Im not willing to spend 3 bagillion dollars on a damn game.
