Hello! I am looking for a Sega CD (Model 2). It needs to be the US region. It also must work. If the door jams or something like that, tell me about it, but the internal workings of it must just be OK. I'd like to pay $20 or less if at all possible. Thanks :)

*edit* Sorry it's a non-functioning unit.
I guess I should have tested it earlier. :o

I have a working drive assembly-- it's just the circuitboard that is dead.. if your PCB is OK and the drive is just failing to read .. Would you like to sell me just that? :D

Sure, it's the drive that fell apart . :D

Be aware that the Sega CD 2 had at least two different board revisions that I've seen so far, could be more. Mine uses a white ribbon cable to connect the board to the drive, Omnedon has one that uses a socketed plug with multi-colored wires. You could run into incompatibility issues if you start swapping internals.

True.. the present one I have has rainbow and black/red data cable sets, plus a power cable ribbon. Is the revision with the white cable bigger though? I am moving all the equipment into a new case, and it can't be TOO much longer than the revision I have, or it won't fit properly. ;P This one is smaller than the Genesis Model 1's PCB.
