Except that YOU don't get the BIN that, in essence, YOU asked for, because you were working, and one of those other buyers you were seeking to cut out (even indirectly) got the deal instead.

Sure, I understand that... and that is exactly how it went, but...

The issue of eBay ethics on buying stuff outright is idiotic. Why? Because if I was selling the Nintendo World Championship cart and MarioAllStar2600 had the offer for me to end it early for $100 for him... would he refuse because he might be "screwing" other buyers? I doubt it, and even if he did that's just dumb. So instead of replying like a jerk, I put some questions up. Besides, I'm the guy who didn't get the deal and think it's kind of funny, so what gives? Don't crap your pants, guys.
