Wow, look what I won:
Mega Drive - Virtua Racing - Vorführmodul (http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=11061&item=3068613144) :D

Looks real for me. The Lable looks a bit like photocopy, but the board is smaller (I think, because on pictures I have see, that the normal cartridge is much bigger) then the released version and this is small like normale Genesis games. So I think they have not make good lables for Promo Cartridges. Now I wait, till I get it and look, if this is different to the released version. Its a convention or exhibition Cartridge and smaller, so I hope its maybe different. :D

Whats "hock a loogie"? Don't understand this word, sorry. Can't translate it with websites and books. O_O

He say in the discribtion, that the white mark on the chip is for the metal plate for the cooling.

I probably spelled both words wrong, but it basically means forcing phlegm from your throat and spitting a big hunk of soggy booger.

Nice score! I'll make a note of it for the Megadrive list, and I'll be very interested to hear any more details once you've got it.

It is just some heat compound stuff. Pull your heatsink off your cpu and you might see some of it.

that's not a proto.

No, but a Special Promo Cartridge only for Conventions. So its maybe a Beta Version from the game, because the board is smaller and the game was maybe not released as this version was shown on Conventions. But I can only tell more, when it has arrived.
Other Problem, I have no Original Virtua Racing, so I can't tell differents in the game. O_O

So I count this a bit as Prototype too. Not 100%, but a bit.

...like a pre-production...or something.

Yes, I think so. But I am not sure. But most on these Game Conventions they use such Cartridges, to show new games I think.

So I have think I can post it here in the Prototype Centrel, because its not a normal release. Prototype, Promo & Demo are all special releases for me, so I post them all here in this Forum for other collectors.

So, I have get it for some days and now finally test the game. Don't know if the game is different, because I own not the standard version.
Under the Black & White Lable is a normal Lable, but I don't know from which game. The case has no screws, because the board is different and the holes are at different places then the holes for the screws at the case.

The game itself has 5 Options. Virtua Racing - Free Run - 2 Players VS. - Records - Options.
But it has only 3 Tracks for choose. Beginner - Medium - Expert. So I think its not much for a Racing game. Has the normal version more Tracks? Or are 3 Tracks standard by this game? @_@

I'm pretty sure it's just those 3 tracks normally. I'll check my copy tonight to be sure.

I have the regular version as well. Yes, it does have 3 tracks... Big Forest, Bay Bridge, and Acropolis, if I remember the names right.

Yes, I have hear it from an other Board too, that this game has only 3 Tracks. A bit less I think. x_x
