Let's say I hate playing 2 player split screen and I would like to link 2 GC's up to 2 separate TV's. Is this possible and do most 2 player games support it?

If the game supports LAN, then yeah.

Only Mario Kart and Kirby's Air Ride support it, I believe.

What kind of cable do I need and how much are they? I would need a very long one I guess to run into the next room.

You'd need an ethernet cable and two Broad Band adapters for your cubes.
A 50' cable would probably run you about $25 at Best Buy and a BBA is about $40....so about $105

Yes, that's the cable, but you still need 2 broadband adapters, which are still hard to find in some places, and will cost $40 each.

Actually, that's NOT the cable you need. To just connect 2 gamecubes together with a cable and two BB adapters, you need a certain type of cable called a Crossover cable, which the auction you posted says it is not. In order to do it with the types of cables everyone normally uses (a Crossover cable is somewhat of a 'special' item in that it is not often used, but it shouldn't cost any extra to buy- once you find one), you need a hub or a switch (either is fine for the GC's purposes), which usually runs between 30 and 50 dollars for a 4-port one.
If you have broadband access on a computer, get a 4 port router, that will connect both cubes and your computer to each other and the internet.

OK, I'm totally confused. I now understand that I need a crossover cable and 2 BB adapters. But, I do have a computer with a cable modem, so which is the cheaper way to go? If I get a 4 port router, what else do I need? Do I need 4 ethernet cables? Do I still need the BB adapters?
Thanks alot!

LAN = Local Area Network

Alright...
Buy a router, not a hub, if you want your computer hooked in also. From here, you will need a cable to go from the modem to the router, another from the router to the computer, and two more, one for each gamecube. You will also need the BB adapters. So thats:
2x BB adapters
3x Ethernet cable ( I assume you already have one that goes from the modem to the computer, unless you use usb, in which case you will need 4)
1x router. I'd go with a d-link.. they are made by linksys but are cheaper. Don't have as many features, but they work fine.
All in all, its a hell of a lot of work just for non-split screen action. I'd say buy a bigger TV.

If you don't plan to use Warp Pipe or PSO, then there's no need to connect your computer in there... if all you want is to connect two Gamecubes, then two BBA's and a cross-over cable should be enough.

Or a pair of Gameboy Players and link cable if you want to play some multiplayer Gameboy stuff. Good luck getting a cable long enough to reach the other room. ;-)

Just remember kiddies...
No router/HUB = crossover cable between the BBAs or PC. Otherwise it's ethernet cable all the way.

OK, here's a wacky one for ya. Let's say you have 2 GCs, Pac-Man Vs., and one Game Boy Player. Could you use one Cube as the Game Boy by hooking the GC-GBA cable to the Game Boy Player attached to that second console?
Don't ask why I'm even bringing this up, I just thought it'd be funny. :P

Hmm, you probably could. Now that would be weird. Heh.

Yes, you could I'd imagine. I've played 2 player GBA Final Fight One linked up on 2 Cubes both armed with GBA players :)
