Ok I know somebody has probably posted on the double pack for XBOX by now, but I was to lazy to find it :P

Did anyone else buy this as well? I didnt buy them for the PS2 but bought them as a gift for my brother who lives with me (haha) I play them more then him... Anyhow I really, really like Vice city. The lighting is awesome,
the game play is great, and the music on the v-rock channel rocks \^_^/ .
My question to the PS2 owners is this. If you own that game on the PS2 and own an XBOX.....What in the hell are you waiting for? Buy this game on the XBOX and sell that PS2 piece of crap LOL I heard it is way better on th XBOX. And from the little I have seen, I agree 100% :D
On top of that, you just cant beat 2 games for 50.00. I mean that must have been the top seller over the holiday?!? :hmm:

By the way, I am not a fan of XBOX or PS2. So dont turn this into a fanboy pissing contest. :P

Calling the PS2 version a piece of crap. You sure as hell sound like a FANBOY to me. x_x Just because the XBOX has better graphics does not qualify the PS2 version a piece of crap.

I got them for both systems. They're pretty much the same damn game.

Hmm....2 games with the worst targeting system I've ever played with for $50? Um, no. It's fun to just run around killing people but I still have no idea how people play these games for hours on end. The novelty wears off after 20 minutes. THAT'S why I won't buy either version.

Well, gee you got me.....NOT!! I am not, nor never will be a "fanboy"
Let see, :hmm: at the time I was buying the 2 games for 50.00 bucks you could buy Vice city for full price on the PS2 x_x And they also added 5.1 surround if I am not mistaken. I am not saying the PS2 version sucks.
I am just saying the double pack XBOX version gives you more bang for the buck :P And of course I would suggest the XBOX version over the PS2 version because of the price point alone. Of course the added sharpness of the game and 5.1 surround are nice too. 8-)

Cant say I have come across any of those "bugs" yet myself.
Whatever....You know what, I enjoy the game. Its something different from the games I normally play.

If you wanted to recommend a game on price alone, the PS2 version of the double pack is almost always 10 bucks cheaper. Personally, I got my "piece of crap" Double Pack for $30 at Circuit City.

You learn some thing new every day. I see people are going to be
shooting at my for a long time for that whole piece of crap comment. :P

Added sharpness? Yeah I guess it has that. It aint like some majestic difference though.

Just funny thought that in this day and age, it's become a point of diminishing returns as far as "better graphics" go. I guess when I hear of a console having better graphics than the other, I'm expecting some kind of jump like this :P

Here's the problem. I know several people who just ran around killing shit in GTA, got bored in 20 mins, and put it away. Then some day, they pulled it out, actually played the missions and realized what a ground-breaking, story-telling, kick-ass game it is, going on to play it for hours and hours until completion. But maybe it's just not your bag, and that's cool. :)

Oh, check my review of the first game for the PS2 here on the site. I loved it. It was fun. Then Vice City came around and it just wasn't all that new to me. The targeting system was hardly touched upon. The missions are frustrating to me to no end beause of this.

Besides, my main point was: Why are people are dumping the PS2 version for a moderately improved game for $50?? A $20 improvment, maybe. Certainly not $50.

Vice City's my stress reliver. After a bad day its good to run around killing whatever you can to release that pent up frustration.

I wish they put KChat and VCPR on the soundtracks.

Gotcha. Agreed too, I wouldn't pay $1 more for the XBox "features." I prefer the PS2 controller as well.

I don't like playing the game but I don't mind watching some one play it. If I wanna run around and kill things I will play Doom.

The X-Box does have 5.1 but the good thing is HDTV support!!!!

HDTV games rule!

I don't understand why anyone (unless you are a completist collector) would go out and buy the Xbox versions over the PS2 versions if they already own them. It's the same damn games, it just looks and sounds a wee bit better... it's definitely not worth buying them to play through the same two games you've already purchased and beaten, there's nothing new.

If you own a PS2 and for some crazy reason never picked them up for PS2, I'd say go ahead and get the Xbox versions... but chances are if you own a PS2 you already own/have already tried the games.

Being able to listen to whatever music I want while driving around in a stolen car is why I bought it on Xbox.

Fun game, but you'r right killing people gets boring. That's why I usually only play the game for a half hour at a time. But it's always fun.
