Specifically for NES and Gameboy cartridges?

I assume it's a bit harder than checking a ROM size. They're combined with other data needed by the emulator, correct?

As you can probably tell, I'm totally clueless. :)

Anyhow, I need to know the cart sizes of a few NES and GB games to settle a debate with a friend. :D

The data inserted into roms that you speak of are usually headers and sometimes footers, lines so minute they hardly count. So what you see is what you get when your computer states the file size.

Easy enough to fix for header size: Just round the file size down to the closest number that's a multiple of one that's a power of two (i.e. 256 is 2x128).
