Did everyone else get this email from ebay?

Seems like they're trying to fucking nickel and diming people to death.

We are writing to inform you that today eBay is announcing that eBay.com and eBay Motors will be making changes to the fee structure effective February 2, 2004. Items that are scheduled to begin on eBay.zl6oreBay Motors after midnight on February 1, 2004 will be charged based on the new fees.

Some fees will be increasing, others will be decreasing, and the tiers for some fee structures will be changing. In addition to the specific fee changes described below, eBay will be making the following enhancements in response to seller feedback on these important issues:

Non-Paying Bidder Re-list Credit - Currently, an item listed on eBay.com or eBay Motors that is won, but not paid for by the buyer, is not eligible for an insertion fee credit when the seller re-lists the item and it sells. As of February 2, 2004, qualifying NPB items will be eligible for the standard re-list credit. (Get more details.)

Second Chance Offer if Reserve Not Met - Currently, a reserve price item that ends without the reserve price being met is not eligible for a Second Chance Offer. Beginning in mid-March, sellers will be able to make a Second Chance Offer to under-bidders on items that do not meet the reserve. In addition, the reserve fee will be refunded if the Second Chance Offer is accepted. (For updates on the launch of this enhancement, please check the Announcement board. Read Second Chance Offer in Help to learn more about the current feature.)

Hmm. I can't really follow the tables there, but it does seem suspicious.

it would be helpful if they mentioned what the fees used to be, so we could see if they went up or down (they did say some went down...)

What's this about Turbo Lister Design fee? Does that mean I will get charged for listings that I have used Turbo Lister for? If so, I am going to be rather unhappy!! In fact, I shall be spitting mad!!

No, I think that means the layouts and stuff.

The second tier did become cheaper, which I guess is okay for me since most of the stuff I sell is in either the 1st or 2nd tier. But the prices everywhere else doubled. It's not a lot, but still :/

Seems to me ebay is gearing completely towards higher volume higher ticket price sellers, Espically fixed price auctions.
