Wish there was a guarantee that the labels would be in good shape, I'd be all over this.

I am tempted to do this to get Mario All-Stars, Super Metroid, Contra III (all overpriced IMO) and one other game, but I don't know. As awesome as those games are, I'm not so sure I want to drop $50+ now when I already have so many unplayed games - both modern and retro - as it is. I know it's unlikely that I'll be able to find a better deal any time soon because of those games' inflated "internet prices" (other than a hot deal in the wild, which I'm not holding my breath on).

The ebay vultures are already swooping down (some a-hole on CAG already bought two copies of Mario RPG). It sucks that I can't get awesome old games for a reasonable price anymore because of the whole internet/ebay culture.

What would you guys recommend I do?

(To reply to the above post, the labels on the games I've ordered from ebgames.com before were generally in good shape, but there are obviously no guarantees.)

Define "so many." Trust me, this is a hobby where a game getting more than 10 minutes of play time EVER is considered pretty good. :P

Don't bother with this deal. All the games on their list are $4.99 and under, so you could actually get 20 for $50 using the B1G1 free deal.

ROTFL. Yeah, I know. The thing is, I'm not a hardcore collector in that I have to have every game ever made for my systems of choice. I pretty much just get the games I loved as a child or always wanted to own but was never able to for whatever reason (not enough money as kid, didn't have the system when I was younger, etc.). Of course, I'll take chances on something that looks cool or some unusual niche game that I can't resist checking out if the price is right. At this rate though, it seems like I'm buying more than actually playing. Who knows, I may very well end up stepping over to the other side and becoming a hardcore, full-fledged collector (or at least something closer to that). :)

Agreed. It's almost like they pick the games that look the most like they've been in and out of someone's ass several times. I wouldn't bother unless it's hard to find.
