Let us not use mainstream games (GTA 3 or VC, FFX, X-2, or any other popular games) because i want them too. I want to know about good game that went under the radar let us hear your suggutions.

(PS2)DDRMAX- If you are familliar with the arcade scene, you should already know of the DDR series. DDRMAX is a compilation of some of the more popular songs, and a few new ones. It's a blast and a half with a dance pad.
(PS2)Downhill Domination- A weird (but super fun) mountain biking game, Twisted Metal style.
I'll think about it for a while and an some more.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3.
Great game.Same formula as the 1st 3 games (Tokyo Xtreme Racer,Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2,Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero),you start off with a stock car,drive around the highways and race others.As you win more races you unlocked better parts,cars,and more sections of the highways.It has tons of upgrades and allows for alot of settings,from turbo boost levels down to spring rates.Throw in the game's 600+ rivals and you have months of fun ahead of you,and the best part is that it's $20 USD.

Yeah, those are the first three that popped in my head as well.
Sky Odyssey and SkyGunner are both worthy of purchase since they can be found for sub-$20.
Mr. Mosquito isn't bad, either.

Mojo is like a weird combination of Marble Madness and Breakout. Frequency and Amplitude kick ass as well. Think Beatmania + Tempest.

I love that game. I can play that for years to come. I still play AC2 for the PS1. Get that also if you dont have it.

I'm not a big fan of ICO, although I can see how console-centric people would like it. So maybe you should check it out. I think it's a lot like old Sierra graphical adventure games (King's Quest, Space Quest, etc.) except faster-paced, even more linear than those games, and with good 3D graphics and cutscenes (the last of which is probably why everyone likes it so much).
My vote goes for Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus. Very solid, polished, and well-done platform game that puts anything Lara Croft has ever appeared in to shame.

I'll second that. Another good game is Frequency or Amplitude (depending on how much you want to spend)...I never thought something so simple could be so addicting.
Beyond good and evil. The game just didnt sell at all and is being marked down like crazy.
